RE Reza Shah

edit

I read through the Reza Shah article and its talkpage, and it looks like there's been a lot of dispute about this page. I don't know enough about Persian/Iranian history to fully evaluate the issues involved. However, per your statement and past discussions on the talkpage, it looks like you've been doing things right; you've cited external published sources (both of the sources you mentioned on my talkpage would count as reliable sources per WP:RS). I also agree with you that the article seems to have a pro-Reza Shah bias at the moment.

  • What I would advise you to do, for now, is to discuss all changes on the talkpage before you make them. Ensure that other users are aware of the sources you're using, and make sure the wording satisfies everyone. If you just keep changing the article, it will lead to edit warring; plus, you have to be careful not to make more than three reverts in 24 hours (as per WP:3RR). So discuss things on the talk page.
  • If the situation keeps getting worse, what you can do is open a request for comment on the article. This will encourage other users to add an outside view, and will hopefully lead to a more NPOV discussion than is happening at present.
  • Finally, the other users were wrong to accuse you of being a sockpuppet. They have no evidence of this, and per WP:AGF they have a duty to assume that you are editing in good faith. If they make any more unfounded accusations, contact me again on my talkpage.

I hope my advice is helpful. If you need any more help, or the article keeps getting worse, then feel free to contact me again and ask for more help. Walton Vivat Regina! 17:00, 15 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

As per my recent comments on Rayis' talk page, I'd also advise you not to accuse other editors of being "bloggers" and "Iranchamber". Try to assume good faith and be civil when discussing these issues. Once again, feel free to contact me if you need more help and advice. Walton Vivat Regina! 17:38, 15 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Request for usurpation

edit

Hello, Yima. A request has been made via Wikipedia:Changing username/Usurpations (or meta:SRUC) to usurp, or "take over", your username because another user would like to use it to edit. The changing username guideline allows a username that is not being actively used to be usurped if the user is given an opportunity to object and does not do so.

If you do not object to being renamed to a new username in order for another user to use the name you currently have, please log in and post a reply here saying so (you may also tell us what username you would like to be renamed to, or we will provide you with a generic one) or use Special:GlobalRenameRequest.

If you do nothing: the request may be filled shortly, and your account will be moved to a generic username. You may request that it be moved to a new username of your choice at any time.

If you object to being renamed: please log in and make an edit to this page clearly stating that you object to usurpation. Any objection on your part will prevent usurpation.

Please note that even if your current username is usurped, you can still edit and your data will not be lost; your preferences, watchlist, and other user settings will be transferred to a new username.

Thank you for your time.--シシガミ (talk) 19:26, 29 August 2021 (UTC)Reply
