WikiProject Investment edit

Hey there! I just re-launched the WikiProject Investment.

Feel free to check out the project and ping me if you have any questions.

I'd like to invite you to join the Investment WikiProject. There are a lot of Investment related articles on Wikipedia that could use a little attention, and I hope this project can help organize an effort to improve them. So please, take a look and if you like what you see, help get this project off the ground and a few Investment pages into the front ranks of Wikipedia articles. Thanks!

I did a rollback of Peter Ordeshook (which undoes contiguous edits) because one of the edits was a close paraphrase of copyrighted material. This is a standard procedure. I'm happy to discuss the issue with the particular editing question and discuss whether the other edits are fine if you wish.--S Philbrick(Talk) 15:35, 20 May 2022 (UTC)Reply

Hello, Can you point to the exact sections where there is a copyright violation? Saturday is Peter Ordeshook's 80th birthday. I am collecting contributions to his Wikipedia page from his former students and co-authors. It can't be that everything I added has copyright violations. If you point to the exact paragraph, I will rewrite it. Thanks! YanChen (talk) 15:38, 20 May 2022 (UTC)Reply
How about I put all of his students' contributions in the Talk page of Peter Ordeshook, so you can let me know which materials can be added, versus cannot be added? Would you be willing to add the materials for us? YanChen (talk) 15:46, 20 May 2022 (UTC)Reply
I'm going to start with the good faith assumption that the other edits were acceptable.
The problematic edit is the one that was a close paraphrase of
https://journals.sagepub.com/doi/10.1177/0951692897009002002
I removed that paragraph. The book description is copyrighted and cannot simply be copied or even closely paraphrased. S Philbrick(Talk) 15:58, 20 May 2022 (UTC)Reply
Got it! Thank you so much! I really appreciate your understanding. YanChen (talk) 17:42, 20 May 2022 (UTC)Reply
