Re: Draft:Saba Karim edit

Hi Yaminmohsin, I saw that you asked for more advice on your draft. Really the crucial part here is finding more reliable sources. The kind of classic examples of these would be books and newspaper articles, but those aren't the only possibilities; a group that only publishes online can also be fine. The key qualities for a source are that they have a reputation for fact-checking (so something like a personal blog usually wouldn't be a great source), and they're independent of the article (so something written by Karim or a company he works for usually wouldn't be a great source, although those kinds of sources can be okay for uncontroversial pieces of information or what a person/group says about him/itself).

There is a lot of overlap between what we consider to be a good source and what shows notability, but notability had a few additional criteria, the two biggest probably being that the source must have significant coverage of whoever the article's about (a passing mention in one or two sentences may be fine to source a claim, but it doesn't show notability), and also that independence is considered more strongly: I mentioned earlier that primary sources can be used for some uncontroversial information or what a person says about himself, but that source wouldn't show notability; interviews are generally also not considered independent.

With all that said, I haven't looked for this particular individual, but I can't say for sure whether that level of sourcing exists for him or not - it's certainly possible that it does, but there are many people who don't have that much written about them. If you have any questions, feel free to ask me any time. LittlePuppers (talk) 14:46, 8 November 2023 (UTC)Reply

Thanks so much for this my friend, really appreciate your assistance and explanation on this whole topic, It has helped me understand the whole picture now. I will keep this in mind, I can see that with present sources of this entity it is not possible yet to successfully publish it live. I will pause this until I find more resources and move on to my next project.
Thanks. Yaminmohsin (talk) 11:16, 10 November 2023 (UTC)Reply

November 2023 edit

As previously advised, your edits, such as the edit you made to Draft:Saba Karim, give the impression you have a financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. You were asked to cease editing until you responded by either stating that you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits, or by complying with the mandatory requirements under the Wikimedia Terms of Use that you disclose your employer, client and affiliation. Again, you can post such a disclosure on your user page at User:Yaminmohsin, and the template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Yaminmohsin|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. Please respond before making any other edits to Wikipedia. DoubleGrazing (talk) 14:55, 8 November 2023 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for your amazing moderation and assistance,
I am not related or connected to them by any means and not doing it as paid. Although I have known this entity through social media, this article has no connection with myself or financial benefit. I do understand the strict policies of Wikipedia, and I appreciate the platform for the same. I have chosen a few people whose Wikipedia doesn't exist and am planning to work on them successfully. I hope to present them in the future once published unconditionally. If, in case, I do any paid edits in the future or of someone whom I know, I shall disclose my COI.
