Teahouse talkback: you've got messages! edit

Hello, Xray~Vision158. Your question has been answered at the Teahouse Q&A board. Feel free to reply there!
Please note that all old questions are archived after 2-3 days of inactivity. Message added by CatcherStorm talk 01:47, 30 December 2015 (UTC). (You can remove this notice at any time by removing the {{teahouse talkback}} template).Reply

Hash identity edit

Hi Xray - I've emailed the oversight team about hiding your edits that involve personal information. In the future, I recommend you email them yourself regarding the removal of private information. I don't recommend posting about it in a public forum like the Teahouse, as that attracts the attention of others.

Also, make sure you did not use the hash you accidentally posted on your userpage since other people may have it. Make sure you used a hash that you have never posted on Wikipedia before. ~SuperHamster Talk Contribs 06:16, 30 December 2015 (UTC)Reply

Signature award page edit

Hey Xray~Vision158, I think you meant to place your new signature award page in your userspace instead of in mainspace. I have moved it for you. You can find now it here User:Xray~Vision158/Signature award. --Majora (talk) 20:13, 30 December 2015 (UTC)Reply

Suggestion edit

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. While we appreciate that you enjoy using Wikipedia, please note that Wikipedia is an encyclopedia and not a social network. Wikipedia is not a place to socialize or do things that are not directly related to improving the encyclopedia. Off-topic material may be deleted at any time. We're sorry if this message has discouraged you from editing here, but the ultimate goal of this website is to build an encyclopedia (please see What Wikipedia is not for further details). Thank you.

Perhaps it's time for you to stop playing on Wikipedia. Yes there are facilities for decorating our user page, sending messages to other users and so on; but the real purpose of editors here is to improve articles and create new ones, and you seem to have done very little of this as yet. Why not try some of the suggested tasks under "Help out" here? Looking forward to your contributions: Noyster (talk), 13:11, 3 January 2016 (UTC)Reply

Here's a toast to the host
Of those who edit wiki near and far,
To a friend we send a message, "keep the data up to par".
We drink to those who wrote a lot of prose,
And then they whacked a vandal several dozen blows.
A toast to the host of those who boast, the Wikipedians!

You've been loved by your user name edit

Hey there! carissa has loved you by placing a heart icon in the top-right corner of your userpage. Don't worry, it's not vandalism, but simply a small way to spread the WikiLove. If you don't really like it, feel free to revert it and make it go away, and no hard feelings; after all, it's just a small token of appreciation. If you like it, just add your name here, but again, there's no need to feel upset if you don't. Love and best wishes, United kingdoms my home (talk) 19:11, 3 January 2016 (UTC)Reply
