Formal mediation has been requested edit

The Mediation Committee has received a request for formal mediation of the dispute relating to "Blue Army (Poland).". As an editor concerned in this dispute, you are invited to participate in the mediation. Mediation is a voluntary process which resolves a dispute over article content by facilitation, consensus-building, and compromise among the involved editors. After reviewing the request page, the formal mediation policy, and the guide to formal mediation, please indicate in the "party agreement" section whether you agree to participate. Because requests must be responded to by the Mediation Committee within seven days, please respond to the request by 28 November 2011.

Discussion relating to the mediation request is welcome at the case talk page. Thank you.

While I disagree with this user's actions this seems to be a textbook case of biting newbies. Didn't Sue Gardner just say somewhere that this is exactly the reason why # of active users on Wikipedia is plummeting? Seriously, it's obvious the guy doesn't know what's going on and was blocked just as he was trying to figure it out. Volunteer Marek  16:21, 21 November 2011 (UTC)Reply

He seemed too savvy/skilled at about going to mediation and other places, to be a real newbie.Faustian (talk) 18:33, 21 November 2011 (UTC)Reply
He obviously wasn't that savvy or skilled as he's now indeffed. If you're new and you find yourself in a dispute and are told to seek "dispute resolution" then probably something called "mediation" is what you'd go for. Most experienced users, socks or not, usually avoid mediation like a plague. His behavior/style did not resemble anyone I'm familiar with. Volunteer Marek  03:47, 22 November 2011 (UTC)Reply
I wouldn't know how to use mediation without considerable difficulty. I may be wrong, but I suspect he was just having fun wasting others' time and not planning to stay for long..Faustian (talk) 04:10, 22 November 2011 (UTC)Reply
