Speedy deletion nomination of Georg Kraus edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Georg Kraus, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion debate, such as at articles for deletion. Under the specified criteria, where a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after debate, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. duffbeerforme (talk) 02:56, 15 August 2016 (UTC)Reply

I'm sorry, I don't agree at all with the assertion that there were substantial improvements over the version deleted at the end of the AfD a week earlier, in fact they appear to be extremely similar. If you want to appeal the deletion further then I suggest deletion review. Hut 8.5 23:43, 19 August 2016 (UTC)Reply
The version of the article as of the 1st of August was deleted by the AfD, and the recreated version was basically identical to that. You're saying that the decision to delete that article on the 1st of August did not take into account improvements made during the course of the discussion. OK, but that's contesting the result of the AfD, and if I restore the article for that reason then I am basically overturning the result of the AfD and I am not allowed to do that. I suggest you go to deletion review and explain that the result of the AfD did not take into account improvements made to the article after the comments were placed and ask for the debate to be reopened or relisted. You may get what you ask, or the people commenting there may decide that the improvements would not have made any difference. That's not for me to say. Hut 8.5 10:10, 20 August 2016 (UTC)Reply
