There have been two problems with this account: the account has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia, and your username indicates that the account represents a business or other organisation or group or a web site, which is also against policy, as an account must be for just one person. Because of those problems, the account has been blocked indefinitely from editing.

If you intend to make useful contributions about some topic other than your business or organisation, you may request an unblock. To do so, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with a new username you are willing to use. See Special:CentralAuth to search for available usernames. Your new username will need to meet our username policy. Replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason to be unblocked. In that reason, you must:

  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
If you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. 331dot (talk) 09:11, 22 December 2018 (UTC)Reply

Request reason:

Hello, I am requesting to be unblocked. I made a mistake by adding the SFAB Recruiting website link. I misunderstood about the advertising rules because none of the links, including the recruiting page link, are links to a "for profit" webpage. It's a link to an internal Army recruiting page that contains information about apply to be a SFAB Advisor. I thought since it was "for profit" that I was OK. I will fix the problem I've created and make sure to not add that page or any advertising page again. Thank you for your consideration

Decline reason:

You forgot to address your inappropriate username. Yamla (talk) 13:42, 22 December 2018 (UTC)Reply

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Request reason:

I am correcting my username to reflect that it is my own personal account. I will also change my user description to be personal. This account has no affiliation to a company or institution, it is mine solely. Thank you for your help.

Decline reason:

This username is already in use, plus your claim that you have no affiliation with SFCA PAO seems exceedingly dubious in light of your edits. Yunshui  08:25, 24 December 2018 (UTC)Reply

So you do not work for the SFAC PAO as you suggest at the top of this page? 331dot (talk) 15:28, 22 December 2018 (UTC)Reply

No, that was a rookie mistake. I made that page because I thought that was the info for the article I was creating (same as the user name). I am creating the article because no one in the unit can create it. I am new to Wikipedia (of course :-)) and I misunderstood the creating an article instructions - but I understand it now. I will correct both my username and the advertising mistake and ensure I better understand the Wikipedia instructions.

You seem to be very familiar with this particular military unit. Are you associated with it in any manner? 331dot (talk) 17:24, 26 December 2018 (UTC)Reply

Request reason:

I am not associated with it in any manner, but I am knowledgeable about the SFAC and SFABs through my own research. I am creating the article about the SFAC to differentiate it from the SFABs so the SFAC can direct people to it for information. The units are getting a lot of questions on social media about what/who they are (I am aware of this because I follow the unit(s) social media page(s)). People (including myself) like, trust and use Wikipedia to get information so I want to ensure they get that information and that it's correct. I initially created the username thinking it was specific to each article I create and named it after the SFAC office I believed would best benefit from its creation (SFACPAO). I looked at other username pages and saw what I perceived to be multiple usernames being used when I created it. I believe that the truth, accountability and citing sources are all very important so people can read an article and go to the sources themselves to conduct their own research.

I have searched this name as my replacement from the creation of the incorrect username I made in reference to the SFAC PAO
