References edit

Just follow the steps 1, 2 and 3 as shown and fill in the details

Thank you for contributing to Wikipedia. Remember that when adding content about health, please only use high-quality reliable sources as references. We typically use review articles, major textbooks and position statements of national or international organizations. (There are several kinds of sources that discuss health: here is how the community classifies them and uses them.) WP:MEDHOW walks you through editing step by step. A list of resources to help edit health content can be found here. The edit box has a built-in citation tool to easily format references based on the PMID or ISBN.

  1. While editing any article or a wikipage, on the top of the edit window you will see a toolbar which has a button "Cite" click on it
  2. Then click on "Automatic" or "Manual"
  3. For Manual: Choose the most appropriate template and fill in the details, then click "Insert"
  4. For Automatic: Paste the URL or PMID/PMC and click "Generate" and if the article is available on PubMed Central, Citoid will populate a citation which can be inserted by clicking "Insert"

We also provide style advice about the structure and content of medicine-related encyclopedia articles. The welcome page is another good place to learn about editing the encyclopedia. If you have any questions, please feel free to drop me a note. Graham87 03:08, 28 October 2019 (UTC)Reply

@Graham87: Heh! Not clear on the promotionality.-- Deepfriedokra 16:40, 12 November 2019 (UTC)Reply
@Graham87: Thanks the above administrator gave me the response and I can also have the template to contact you. Hello, this is user 'Woqq445721624', and I am confused about the blocking of which the reason is promotion/advertisement since I didn't promote or advertise anything in the sections I edited. First of all, I am sorry that the first edition I didn't put the references in my sections to support the validation. So, I followed your instructions and added the references in my second edition as well as some figures as the visual aids, I don't think there is any promotion or advertisement in them. If there is any other rule I didn't follow, please let me know, tell me more details and I will be happy to try my best to amend it to the best edition since I am working on this topic for several months and don't want to give it up. Thank you.--Woqq445721624 (talk) 16:59, 12 November 2019 (UTC)Woqq445721624Reply
You've been promoting a relatively small subfield of research in articles that should be built on secondary sources like systematic reviews, not single studies. I will agree to unblock you (or for Deepfriedokra or anyone else who sees this to unblock you) if you undertake to not immediately edit any articles once unblocked, but instead to seek advice at the WikiProject Medicine talk page. @Graham87: Hello, Graham87, I am sorry for replying to you so late, but I used this time to read the advice and also saw others' Wikipedia page and found my stuff is relevant to medical area but not as much as other pages do. I am not sure whether it is possible to generate my own page, which is classified into the engineering area, instead of editing other's pages? Thank you and look forward to your reply.
Nope, per the conflict of interest guideline. Graham87 03:09, 27 November 2019 (UTC)Reply
@Graham87: Hello, I have read through the link you suggested and didn't find there is any conflict... I didn't talk about myself, related person and there is no one paying me to do this. I read about 20 papers and summarized to get a general idea about how blood flows in a specific area, all the articles are summarized by myself except the figures, but the figures are also remade by myself. Did I summarize them still too narrow? Should I change the article more general? Or is there anything conflicting with the policy?
Oh, I thought you meant creating a page about yourself. Creating an article about a topic is possible but the main problem is finding pages that can link to it. For that, I would try to get some advice at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Medicine first. If you promise to do this, I will unblock you. It seems like English is not your native language ... perhaps you would be better off editing in your native language's Wikipedia. Graham87 14:29, 27 November 2019 (UTC)Reply
@Graham87: Haha, no, what I mean is to generate my own page for this stuff instead of adding section in others' pages. Yes, I will follow the guideline you give me. No, English is not my native language, thank you for your advice but I need to generate it in English and I will try my best to make it understandable.
Alright, I've unblocked you. Happy editing! Don't forget to sign your messages with four tildes like this: "~~~~". Graham87 16:39, 27 November 2019 (UTC)Reply
