Hello, WonderlandKitty, and welcome to Wikipedia! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of the pages you created, such as Toybob, may not conform to some of Wikipedia's guidelines, and may not be retained.

There's a page about creating articles you may want to read called Your first article. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the Teahouse, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{help me}} on this page, followed by your question, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Questions or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome! Atlantic306 (talk) 23:44, 18 March 2017 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Toybob

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Toybob requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from http://www.toybobcat.com/breed-info.html. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website or image but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.   Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button (  or  ) located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 16:13, 19 March 2017 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I deleted the content that was on my website. It was in fact all my own. That way there is no further conflict with Wikipedia. Does this resolve the issue? WonderlandKitty (talk) 18:19, 19 March 2017 (UTC)Reply

Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to remove speedy deletion notices from pages you created yourself, as you did at Toybob, you may be blocked from editing. CHRISSYMAD ❯❯❯¯\_(ツ)_/¯ 17:56, 19 March 2017 (UTC)Reply

Okay sorry, I'm am completely new to the site. I was unaware that would also be a problem. :( WonderlandKitty (talk) 18:00, 19 March 2017 (UTC)Reply

There have been two problems identified with this account: the account has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia, and your username indicates that the account represents a business or other organisation or group, which is also against policy, as an account must be for just one person. Because of those problems, the account has been blocked indefinitely from editing.

If you intend to make useful contributions about some topic other than your business or organisation (wonderlandkitty.com), you may request an unblock. To do so, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with a new username you are willing to use. See Special:CentralAuth to search for available usernames. Your new username will need to meet our username policy. Replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason to be unblocked. In this reason, you must:

  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
If you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{tlx|unblock|Seriously, some of you people act like nazis on this site. I was trying to conduct business on this site. All I was doing was trying to contribute an article on a breed of cat that has existed for 30 years and is just starting to become popular in the US.} at the bottom of your talk page, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. This user's request to be unblocked to request a change in username has been reviewed by an administrator, who accepted the request.

Requested username:

Request reason:

My old username was causing confusion and users were making false assumptions that I was contributing for self promotion. which is false.

Accept reason:

Renamed per request and unblocked. —DoRD (talk) 13:54, 23 March 2017 (UTC)Reply
As a note regarding your Godwin's Law comment - regardless of whether it was your intention to self-promote, our username policy regarding promotional names is very clear: it's not allowed. We're not making false assumptions, we're just following the rules. Primefac (talk) 14:20, 20 March 2017 (UTC)Reply
As a neutral observer, I have been made upset by the events that have happened recently with this user. The user has asked for help on the WP:Teahouse, rewritten the article so it doesn't violate WP:COPYVIO, apologised AND amended their actions when they have done something wrong as all newbies should aspire to do. The user is clearly a WP:single purpose account; granted but I haven't seen much in the way of self-promotion or promotion of their business and the topic is a legitimate neutral subject about a breed of cat that a google search shows is unrelated to their name (which they are now trying to change and distance themselves from). Every time I look at this talk page, my gut instinct tells me that there is a severe case of WP:BITE and coming down like a tonne of bricks, going on that my head can't ignore.
My advice to you: WonderlandKitty (talk) would be to ask for an unblock under the premise of asking for a second chance if your username change block is denied and then reading such policies on Copyright Violations (you have struggled to adhere to this policy with your recent upload of images) and maybe diversifying your edits to include other topics so that other people can be convinced that you're truly WP:here to build an encyclopedia. -=Troop=- (talk) 15:17, 20 March 2017 (UTC)Reply
Trooper1005, as near as I can tell the only reason they have been blocked is for the promotional username. While the CV issues were regrettable, they did not factor into the block decision. They have asked for a username change, which they'll probably get as soon as a renamer sees the request. Primefac (talk) 15:20, 20 March 2017 (UTC)Reply
