Hello, I've done it. In the future, could you please not create empty pages as placeholders before an import? It'd be easier for me if you didn't, because then I could import the edits straight onto a new page, rather than manually reverting to the translated version. Graham87 13:17, 8 March 2015 (UTC)

Hello, I can't do that because you need to be an admin to be able to import pages, and I don't have that userright on the German Wikipedia. The correct place to request an importation there would be Importwünsche, which also has an equivalent English page, Requests for page importation (which I monitor). ArbCom Elections 2016: Voting now open!

Hello, Earlyspatz. Voting in the 2016 Arbitration Committee elections is open from Monday, 00:00, 21 November through Sunday, 23:59, 4 December to all unblocked users who have registered an account before Wednesday, 00:00, 28 October 2016 and have made at least 150 mainspace edits before Sunday, 00:00, 1 November 2016.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

Hello @DaddyCell:, a lot of people are coming to Madrid. If you want to be there, you need to be accepted before. We have a budget for accommodation and food but it is limited so we can't accept too many participants. By now I think we are almost 15 and we wanted to accept 15 participants overall. I can't tell where you are from. If you don't live so far away from Madrid your chapters might reimburse the travel costs. You can also write me an email with further information about you.

You are of course aside from that invited to participate remotely.

ArbCom 2017 election voter message

Hello, DerSpatz (麻雀). Voting in the 2017 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23.59 on Sunday, 10 December. All users who registered an account before Saturday, 28 October 2017, made at least 150 mainspace edits before Wednesday, 1 November 2017 and are not currently blocked are eligible to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

I think Wikipedia tends to give out pokes, not strokes. Which is a prime reason we have a problem with editor retention. 7&6=thirteen (☎) 21:28, 20 January 2018 (UTC)

That is very true. I feel like that was not an attempt to make Wikipedia better but a personal attack on me maybe because I applied for a scholarship to attend Wikimania in South Africa or because of other users not liking projects on refugees. One of those two options. So I was kind of upset about that. But I changed the article and it is still standing and fine like that. So, cool. We should have something like this tea cup in the German version as well.--DerSpatz (麻雀) 🐧 22:31, 20 January 2018 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of The Finders (group)

The article The Finders (group) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

WP:FRINGE topics. The "Finders" claims are just a specific instance of the Satanic ritual abuse panic of the 80s and 90s. The overwhelming majority of this material comes from an FBI report, which is itself mostly a WP:PRIMARY collection of un-vetted or discredited claims about occult child abuse. The only non-primary sources contain only passing mentions of the Finders cult, and none of them really deserve any credence.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Fringe articles

Hi there, I've noticed several of your recently created articles appear to give undue weight to fringe theories about child sexual abuse cults. While Wikipedia covers conspiracy theories and fringe ideas, we try to cover them the same way that reliable sources cover them. Reliable sources generally indicate that claims of ritual child sexual abuse are baseless. The talk page for Satanic ritual abuse contains an "FAQ" section at the top of the page which includes links to sources and prior discussions which establish a firm consensus among experts and editors that these claims are not credible, and should not be treated as credible.

I've already nominated a couple of these articles for deletion, but please don't take this as a discouragement from future editing! It's great that you want to add more coverage of sexual abuse and trafficking issues, but I'm asking you to be more careful going forward. If you're unsure about something, you may want to open a discussion at WP:AFC before creating an article. You're also welcome to ask me questions on my talk page or in this thread. Thanks! Alègre and OCCK

Hello, I just wanted to let you know I have begun copy-editing and cleaning up the Alègre and OCCK articles and I will try to finish doing that tomorrow, before I take a break from Wikipedia until Thursday. It will probably take a while for me to completely finish improving the articles as the OCCK article is particularly long and needs more sources and I have yet to fully go through the Microsoft documents and drafts you emailed me. Hey, yeah I have not yet gathered a lot of material on Alègre and OCCK. After gathering the material it will also need to be structured and filtered for reliable sources. Most material that is structured and solid is on the Dutroux case. But I think this can be used as a blueprint to go through other articles of people similar to Dutroux like Alègre. Thank you so much for your help. I think I'll focus on Alègre first and then I'll go over OCCK. Custom signature fix needed

Hi there! You have a custom signature set in your account preferences. A change to Wikipedia's software has made your current custom signature incompatible with the software.

The problem: Your signature contains a syntax error, specifically formatting tags that are in the wrong order.

The solutions: You can reset your signature to the default, or you can fix your signature.

Solution 1: Reset your signature to the default:

1. Find the signature section in the first tab of Special:Preferences.
2. Uncheck the box (☑︎→☐) that says "Treat the above as wiki markup."
3. Remove anything in the Signature: text box.
4. Click the blue "Save" button at the bottom of the page. (The red "Restore all default settings" button will reset all of your preference settings, not just the signature.)

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
