Welcome to Wikipedia. Because we have a policy against usernames that give the impression that the account represents a group, organization or website, I have blocked this account; please take a moment to create a new account with a username that represents only yourself as an individual and which complies with our username policy.

You should also read our conflict of interest guideline and be aware that promotional editing is not acceptable regardless of the username you choose.

If your username does not represent a group, organization or website, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} below this notice.

You may simply create a new account, but you may prefer to change your username to one that complies with our username policy, so that your past contributions are associated with your new username. If you would prefer to change your username, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock-un|new username|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} below this notice. Thank you. Request reason:

Hi alexf, my username that you have blocked reflects characteristics of my legal name, it was created with my identity in mind, not to represent a Web site per se. It is incidental that I host a web site under my name. The website, as you may have seen, includes a manuscript that is published online per his wishes, as he passed on (died) before publishing arrangements were made. If I am forced to change my user name, how do I verify that the one I suggest is not already taken? Thanks!!Wmabon (talk) 19:11, 19 September 2014 (UTC)Reply

Decline reason:

Irrespective of the username issue, your editing has been 100% an attempt to use Wikipedia to publicise a book, written, according to you, by a relative of yours. Wikipedia is not a medium for promotion of anything at all, and so if you want to be unblocked you will need to indicate that you intend to do editing of some kind other than promoting the book, your website, or anything else. If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

If you change your username, you'll want to search Special:Listusers Origamite\(·_·\)(/·_·)/ 00:47, 20 September 2014 (UTC)Reply
Also, we have a special unblock template for those wishing to change their name: {{unblock-un|<new username>|<reason>}}. —Jeremy v^_^v Bori! 08:03, 21 September 2014 (UTC)Reply
The user should also agree to stop pasting links to their own website. Useful or relevant as they might be, per our conflict of interest guidelines they should be proposed in the articles' talk pages, not added directly. §FreeRangeFrogcroak 19:55, 21 September 2014 (UTC)Reply
