This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. creffett (talk) 01:11, 24 October 2019 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for your response. I really appreciate the insight. Quick question, I thought that the feature article in the Jamaica Observer (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jamaica_Observer) would be significant as well as the the Sullivan county democratic. Is there a threshold of readership for acceptable publications? Wizgirl1470 (talk) 02:01, 9 April 2022 (UTC)Reply

Hello Wizgirl1470. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.

Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are extremely strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Wizgirl1470. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Wizgirl1470|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. Theroadislong (talk) 18:38, 9 April 2022 (UTC)Reply

I am not being paid for any of my edits or additions. I do however know the parties I would be happy to declare as such. Wizgirl1470 (talk) 19:25, 9 April 2022 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I'm Theroadislong. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, The Nu Breed Music Group, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Theroadislong (talk) 18:41, 9 April 2022 (UTC)Reply

As previously advised, your edits give the impression you have a financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. You were asked to cease editing until you responded by either stating that you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits, or by complying with the mandatory requirements under the Wikimedia Terms of Use that you disclose your employer, client and affiliation. Again, you can post such a disclosure on your user page at User:Wizgirl1470, and the template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Wizgirl1470|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. Please respond before making any other edits to Wikipedia. Theroadislong (talk) 18:45, 9 April 2022 (UTC)Reply

am not being paid for any of my edits or additions. I do however know the parties I would be happy to declare as such. I used the template for "Paid Contributions" as that seemed to be the only way to do it. Wizgirl1470 (talk) 19:27, 9 April 2022 (UTC)Reply
You stated she's your client, and after looking at your improper disclosure for the company you own/work for, she is also their client. So are you saying you work for free? CUPIDICAE💕 19:29, 9 April 2022 (UTC)Reply
I am not being paid monetarily think of it as an internship if that will help explain things better. I am really only attempting to get her wiki page going. I did fill out the disclosure but there doesn't seem to be one for a contributor that isn't paid monetarily. I did use the paid template again however if that would be helpful. Wizgirl1470 (talk) 19:45, 9 April 2022 (UTC)Reply
If you are an intern then you are deemed to be a paid editor here and need to make the required disclosure on your talk page. Theroadislong (talk) 19:47, 9 April 2022 (UTC)Reply

Hello I just explained to Theroadislong that I had no idea he created an account and attempted to do anything. It was my error for when you asked the question of me. What a mess! Wizgirl1470 (talk) 19:40, 11 April 2022 (UTC)Reply
@Yamlahas excused me of lying and not simply making a mistake i erred in saying no because i didn't know that the account was created. In addition if we were actually trying to some how mislead wiki we could easily have masked the IP addy or hired someone off Fiver to edit the pages. I apologize for not knowing how to navigate wiki correctly and also for my mistake in not knowing an account was created. but to accuse me of spam is unfair and defamatory. Wizgirl1470 (talk) 12:36, 12 April 2022 (UTC)Reply

It is a lie that Wizgirl1470 has no connection to Uptopclickllc, as noted over on that user's talk page and as confirmed via technical evidence. Additionally, the paid-editor declaration was nowhere near sufficient. I am going to go block both accounts as checkuser-confirmed spam-only accounts. Enough of this nonsense. --Yamla (talk) 09:37, 12 April 2022 (UTC)Reply

As discussed earlier I had no idea that that account was created when I asked. and as for my declaration I am not sure how it was "Insufficient". the parameters of what to say are not clear. I am not paid to write wiki articles I help my boyfriend from time to time with his work. You are being over critical to people who are new to this community. Nomination of Skerrit Bwoy for deletion

edit

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Skerrit Bwoy is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Skerrit Bwoy until a consensus is reached, and anyone, including you, is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article.

Theroadislong (talk) 19:05, 11 April 2022 (UTC)Reply

The references and articles do support the information that was placed. Skerrit Bwoy is a former member of Major Lazer with coverage that supports that fact. And he did leave the group. I know there is an issue as to authenticity due to me being asked about an account that worked on the page. My boyfriend who's company is affiliated with Skerrit Bwoy created the account and edited it and didn't tell me this is why the IP addresses are the same. I really didn't want to cause confusion and we are not trying to mislead the community or the public. He told me that he was simply trying to address the concerns on the page that requested more information, if did something wrong then by all means delete what he did but do not delete the entire page. I am a novice to this and I have followed all instructions as to my paid contribution deceleration. I don't think this is fair I have not submitted any false or misleading information. Request reason:

I would need more clarification as to why I am blocked i understand there was an issue with something called "Sock puppet" because my boyfriend opened an account without my knowledge. I have been accused of spam and lying this is very much beyond the pale and it seems to stem from the Yamala person who appears to have some vendetta against me for some reason.

Decline reason:

To have any chance of being unblocked you will need to show that you clearly understand what was wrong with your edits to date (hint: advertising/promotion, misuse of more than one account) and to explain how you would avoid the same mistakes in future and what articles you might be interested in improving. If your only aim is to continue your promotional activities here, you will not be unblocked. Please do not again request an unblock without addressing these points.
