Help with templates edit

I have a template on my desk (User:WindowsNT4.0/Desk#Current_Work#Templates) and I want to put it on my userpage but I don't know how. What do I do? WindowsNT4.0 (talk) 16:33, 9 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

On your user page, you would put {{User:WindowsNT4.0/menu}} to transclude the subpage. As I have done, below.  Chzz  ►  16:36, 9 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

User:WindowsNT4.0/menu

Thank you! WindowsNT4.0 (talk) 16:39, 9 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

No worries. By the way, you'd actually made that page as "Template:User: WindowsNT4.0/menu" - which is in the 'template' namespace. User stuff shouldn't be there, so I moved it to just "User:WindowsNT4.0/menu".
Template namespace is for things lots of people use, like Template:helpme and Template:infobox person and suchlike. Cheers,  Chzz  ►  16:41, 9 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

Hi! I'm WindowsNT4.0. My nickname is WinNT 4.0. Hey! Want to be friends? 19:46, 9 July 2010 (UTC)

Note edit

Just,

{| class="wikitable collapsible collapsed"
! Notes to self
|-
| {{user:WindowsNT4.0/note}}
|}

-which I added to the top of this page. So, to edit it, just edit user:WindowsNT4.0/note.

Best,  Chzz  ►  01:10, 10 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of SmartZone Communications Center edit

You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles. See the Article Wizard.

Thank you.

A tag has been placed on SmartZone Communications Center requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, individual animal(s), an organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Kyle1278 01:18, 10 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

The article Advanced Setup has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

This account has been blocked indefinitely from editing Wikipedia because your username, WindowsNT4.0, does not meet our username policy.

Your username is the only reason for this block. You are welcome to choose a new username (see below).

A username should not be promotional, related to a "real-world" group or organization, misleading, offensive, or disruptive. Also, usernames may not end in the word "bot" unless the account is an approved bot account.

You are encouraged to choose a new account name that meets our policy guidelines. Alternatively, if you have already made edits and you wish to keep your existing contributions under a new name, then you may request a change in username by:

  1. Adding {{unblock-un|your new username here}} on your user talk page. You should be able to do this even though you are blocked, as you can usually still edit your own talk page. If not, you may wish to contact the blocking administrator by clicking on "E-mail this user" on their talk page.
  2. At an administrator's discretion, you may be unblocked for 24 hours to file a request.
  3. Please note that you may only request a name that is not already in use, so please check here for a listing of already taken names. The account is created upon acceptance, thus do not try to create the new account before making the request for a name change. For more information, please see Wikipedia:Changing username.
If you feel that you were blocked in error, you may appeal this block by adding below this notice the text {{unblock|Your reason here}}, but you should read our guide to appealing blocks first. -- Cirt (talk) 17:05, 14 September 2010 (UTC)Reply
