Welcome! edit

Here are some cookies to welcome you! :D
Welcome to Wikipedia, WimdeValk! I am Banana04131, and have been editing Wikipedia for quite some time. I just wanted to say hi and welcome you to Wikipedia! If you have any questions, feel free to leave me a message on my talk page or by typing {{helpme}} at the bottom of this page. I love to help new users, so don't be afraid to leave a message! I saw you put in a request at Articles for Creation. The thing is, since you have already made an account, you don't need to use Articles for Creation, to make an article. You can just make one by yourself! If you are lost, you can look at Help:Starting a new page or just ask me a question on my talk page. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and ask your question there. Again, welcome! Banana 23:50, 7 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Espresso page move edit

The move you made was a bit controversial, and was reversed. For future reference, it's a good idea to propose major moves on an article's talk page first, before making them. :) —Piet Delport 03:22, 14 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Citation of references in Digital electronics edit

I inserted the {{Unreferenced}} tag in this article because the references are not cited (particularly see Text-source relationship). Though there is some flexibility in this matter, clearly no references were cited.

This issue seems a little murky to me and I have initiated a discussion at Template_talk:Unreferenced.

It is generally considered appropriate, when removing a tag such as this one without other editing, to start a discussion on the talk page.

One thing I have been doing is inserting citations to references in articles with the {{Unreferenced}} tag and then replacing the {{Unreferenced}} tag with a {{refimprove}} tag. No one has yelled at me for this, yet.

I have tagged many articles as {{Unreferenced}} and you are the first to delete the tag without editing the reference citations.

Though the references for this article are good ones (I have taught digital logic from Katz) I think the sections of this article need to direct the reader to specific information that verifies and expands the information in those sections. Some statements in this article are not supported by Katz or Lala but the inference is that these references support all statements in this article.

I am also starting a discussion in Talk:Digital electronics about this. Please contribute there if you like.

My interpretation of the unreferenced tag text is that the article is supposed to contain no references at all. Whether or not your interpretation about the missing citations to the references in this text would formally be correct, it may still cause people to get confused about it. So I support Dicklion's solution of replacing it by the unambiguous citation tag. WimdeValk 18:51, 19 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Use of EDASeeAlso Template edit

TO WimdeValk The community is better served by text, and not a template. This template is not applicable.... and cannot be edited for this article only as it is template. I have already suggested putting specific links and specific appropriate conference rather than using a template. Placing this template across many EDA topics is not helpful. Karnaugh map edit

Hoi Wim,

Sorry dus. WimdeValk (talk) 10:04, 7 September 2008 (UTC)Reply
Ok bedankt. -- Marcel Douwe Dekker (talk) 11:30, 7 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

computation universal edit

Alas, I reverted one of your edits to the logic gate article. I hope my excuses at Talk:Logic_gate#computation_universal makes sense. --68.0.124.33 (talk) 04:57, 14 September 2008 (UTC)Reply
