Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did in Final Fantasy VII. Wikipedia is not a mere directory of links nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that exist to attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam policies for further explanations of links that are considered appropriate. If you feel the link should be added to the article, then please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. See the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you. ========================== edit

I like how you consider an in-depth official video released by the company to be spam. It has key staff members discussing their thoughts on FF7 as well as footage from the game. Its probably more relevant than the other links in that section, and is therefore not "loosely related" as in the wikifaq. I am not affiliated with this video, nor am I affiliated with the website. The website does not show advertising for user movies. It is something that people who are researching the game should watch. I put the links back on the main entry for FF7. If you remove them, I will add them back again.

-Williams

The reason I have removed them is because the copy of links were
  1. placed in so many pages
  2. no known copyright information (and seems like a copyright infringement)
If there are no copyright problems and only placed in the main FF VII page, I have no problem with it. MythSearchertalk 06:22, 9 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

= edit

But the images located on the mobygames link could also be considered in violation of copyrights...?

I have only tracked new edits, if you think any links infringes copyright law, be bold and feel free to delete it.
Also, I would like to take the honour to welcome you now, as I was in a hurry last time and forgot to do so.

Welcome!

Also, in discussion pages, you can use multiple : to show your reply, = was used as title templates and will make the page look strange.
Here are a few examples:
Two :s can imply replying somebody replied with single :.
Three and so on does the same thing. If you think it pushes the words to the right too much, try starting with no : in front again.

more useful templates are ''italic words'', '''bolded words''', '''''bolded italic words'''''

Speedy deletion of Image:NEON by Tomotaka Takahashi.jpg edit

A tag has been placed on Image:NEON by Tomotaka Takahashi.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section I3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an image licensed as "for non-commercial use only," "non-derivative use" or "used with permission," it has not been shown to comply with the limited standards for the use of non-free content. [1], and it was either uploaded on or after 2005-05-19, or is not used in any articles. If you agree with the deletion, there is no need to do anything. If, however, you believe that this image may be retained on Wikipedia under one of the permitted conditions then:

  • state clearly the source of the image. If it has been copied from elsewhere on the web you should provide links to: the image itself, the page which uses it and the page which contains the license conditions.
  • add the relevant copyright tag.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on [[ Talk:Image:NEON by Tomotaka Takahashi.jpg|the talk page]] explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. Kelly hi! 01:59, 20 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to the encyclopedia, one or more of the external links you added to the page Humanoid do not comply with our guidelines for external links and have been removed. Wikipedia is not a collection of links; nor should it be used as a platform for advertising or promotion, and doing so is contrary to the goals of this project. Because Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings.
