Hi there... edit

Hi there, I've just submitted my first article and was wondering how long it might take to get verified.

All best,

If you are referring to Draft:Bill Angus, you have not actually submitted it for review. I will shortly add the appropriate means to allow you to do so; once you submit it, it will be put in the queue. Drafts are reviewed in no particular order by volunteers, and there are usually several thousand drafts awaiting review at a given time. It's possible it could be reviewed quickly, but most likely it will take several weeks if not a month or two. 331dot (talk) 23:10, 12 November 2019 (UTC)Reply
I would say that if you were to submit it at this time, it would probably be rejected, as it has no independent reliable sources with significant coverage to support its content. Wikipedia articles must summarize what independent sources say about the subject. I gather that you are attempting to write about yourself; please read the autobiography policy; while not forbidden, writing about yourself is strongly discouraged. 331dot (talk) 23:13, 12 November 2019 (UTC)Reply

November 2019 edit

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions; however, it appears you may have written a Wikipedia article about yourself, at Draft:Bill Angus. Creating an autobiography is strongly discouraged – please see our guideline on writing autobiographies. If you create such an article, it may be deleted. If what you have done in life is genuinely notable and can be verified according to our policy for articles about living people, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later (see Wikipedians with articles). If you wish to add to or change an existing article about yourself, you are welcome to propose the changes by visiting the article's talk page. Please understand that this is an encyclopedia and not a personal web space or social networking site. If your article has already been deleted, please see: Why was the page I created deleted?, and if you feel the deletion was an error, please discuss this with the deleting administrator. Thank you.
