Jordin Sparks

edit

Hi
Please check the Jordin Sparks at the RIAA database: "One Step at a Time" is not certified, and "No Air" is 'only' certified Platinum, not Multi-Platinum (although the digital release was certified Platinum, too - see also Talk:No Air).

Speedy deletion of Jordin Sparks Second Album

edit

A tag has been placed on Jordin Sparks Second Album requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a musical recording which does not indicate why its subject is important or significant, and where the artist's article has never existed, has been deleted or is eligible for deletion itself. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for music.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Proposed deletion of Jordin Sparks Second Album

edit

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Jordin Sparks Second Album, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

Future album that fails WP:HAMMER

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. AfD nomination of Jordin Sparks Second Album

edit

I have nominated Jordin Sparks Second Album, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Jordin Sparks Second Album. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

If its all over the web, then find a third part neutral source, like the ones you've mentioned, who have actually written an article on the subject matter. Information in the biography has to pass WP:VERIFY AND WP:SOURCES. The Bookkeeper (of the Occult) 03:26, 9 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

Record Charts

edit

According to wikipedia rules which can be found at WP:record charts it is against the rules to include iTunes charts because they frequently change and cannot be verified at later stages. Please do not continue to add them as you did to Battlefield (Jordin Sparks song). (Lil-unique1 (talk) 16:23, 13 May 2009 (UTC))Reply

PLEASE CAN YOU READ WP:record charts, THESE ARE THE WIKIPEDIA RULES AND STATE CLEARLY THAT iTUNES CHARTS SHOULD NOT BE INCLUDED IN AN ARTICLE. (Lil-unique1 (talk) 14:11, 17 May 2009 (UTC))Reply

vandalism accusations

edit

Please do not make unwarranted accusations of vandalism, as you did here. Max24 has been working hard to clean up the Mariah Carey articles, and his removal of things sourced by Media Traffic is justified: the UWC is listed on WP:BADCHARTS, so no articles should reference Media Traffic/UWC.—Kww(talk) 04:03, 24 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

By the way, Katamari38, who left you a message above, was a vandal, and has been blocked indefinitely.—Kww(talk) 04:05, 24 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Battlefield.jpg

edit

Thank you for uploading File:Battlefield.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. — Σxplicit 00:24, 22 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

Unreliable sourcing

edit

After you submitted material which failed multiple Wikipedia policies and guidelines, I removed it with an explanation. Unfortunately, you saw fit to reinsert it. Fortunately, another editor has since removed it. Don't insert material sourced to Twitter or Youtube: it violates WP:RS.—Kww(talk) 01:33, 11 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Please do not repeatedly revert edits, but use the talk page to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. If necessary, pursue dispute resolution. —Kww(talk) 02:53, 11 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You may also click on the signature button   located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 04:21, 11 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

You have been blocked from editing for a short time in accordance with Wikipedia's blocking policy for violating the three-revert rule. Please be more careful to discuss controversial changes or seek dispute resolution rather than engaging in an edit war. If you believe this block is unjustified, you may contest the block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} below, but you should read our guide to appealing blocks first.
The duration of the block is 24 hours. Here are the reverts in question. William M. Connolley (talk) 09:05, 22 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

You are suspected of sockpuppetry, which means that someone suspects you of using multiple Wikipedia accounts for prohibited purposes. Please make yourself familiar with the notes for the suspect, then respond to the evidence at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Willallen93. Thank you.

Per the above case, I have reset your block to expire in a week's time. Further account abuse will lead to a much longer block. Thank you. PeterSymonds (talk) 18:03, 24 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open!

edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
