Managing a conflict of interest

Hello, WileyLS AnaM. We welcome your contributions to Wikipedia, but if you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article Draft:Cytometry Part A, you may have a conflict of interest or close connection to the subject.

All editors are required to comply with Wikipedia's neutral point of view content policy. People who are very close to a subject often have a distorted view of it, which may cause them to inadvertently edit in ways that make the article either too flattering or too disparaging. I have no idea how to do that. This is my first time on Wikipedia. I will do that after I figure out how to.

Speedy deletion nomination of File:Cytometry Part A Cover.pdf

A tag has been placed on File:Cytometry Part A Cover.pdf requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), such as at WP:MCQ, please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button ( or ) located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Cytometry Part A - image copyright and licensing - please don't remove the image from the article.

I have added the cover image Cytometry_Part_A_Cover.gif to Cytometry Part A Wikipedia page that has been recently published. The image was previously uploaded and then deleted because it's not free and until the article was approved, it wasn't associated with the active article. There was a copyright question from Wikipedia staff that I answered previously and the article draft had a note on it instructing to restore it once the article was approved. The Cytometry Part A cover images are commissioned to the artist by the Journal's Editor-in-Chief based on the Journal's articles. They are created for a sole purpose of being used as the Cytometry Part A cover and for nothing else. The author's name is acknowledged in the Journal and the image is published at her full consent, so there is no conflict of copyright and the cover publication is fully legal. Therefore, please do not remove the image from the article and Wikipedia. If you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to contact me. Many thanks in advance! WileyLS AnaM (talk)
