Buffalo Memorial Auditorium

Thanks for the query on the Aud - I didn't add the "War," it was done by the editor just previous to me (I had just added the 2 sequence boxes). Perhaps they confused it with the Stadium or Rochester's arena . I did a very quick search and did find references to War in the name, but none that were credible. I will remove it. MacForum.com

Hi there.

While the macforum.com is indeed a new forum, it is a place for the Macintosh User Community to get help for hardware/software issues etc. We feel it belongs in the list of sites and is very relevant irregardless of current user volume. Its not as if we're trying to add a shoe site in the Apple Computer section. If I was wrong, I would admit it no problem, but we feel that MacForum.com belongs in the list and adds value to the Apple community. UCSF endowment

Hey, according to the [latest UC report (2008), UCSF has an endowment of 1.3 billion dollars http://www.ucop.edu/treasurer/foundation/foundation.pdf]. That is regents + foundations. The current stat is simply from the regents portion of the funds. For University of California, Berkeley, we include regents and foundations as part of the endowment because that is what UC reports. Richmond Spiders football final national rankings

I've noticed that you seem to be the URichmond football teams' pages creator/updater (obviously I'm the W&M counterpart). I thought you might be interested in adding the AP final national ranking to each selected Richmond team's infobox. If you go to this page, you'll see a drop-down menu on the left that says "Archives". It has all of the final FCS rankings from each season since 1996, and I know the Spiders are on there for a lot of them. If you check out the 2004 William & Mary Tribe football team page I made, you'll see in the infobox the final national ranking (with appropriate demarcation that it is FCS we're talking about, not FBS). Maybe you already knew about The Sports Network site, but I figured you might be interested in adding their final national ranks as well. Jrcla2 (talk) 00:20, 8 October 2009 (UTC)

If I see any FCS teams' season pages that would require a final national ranking I'll implement the new infobox parameter. Thanks for doing it - it's about time that was an option. Regarding the logo, could you help me actually? I want the new W&M logo for seasons 2007 through the present (which is what they are), but I want the old logo for seasons 1990 through 2006 (obv. I haven't made the 1990s page yet though). I screwed up the old logo by accident and don't know how to undo it; could you fix it so that it goes back to the way it was supposed to be? I feel that Boston College shouldn't have exclusive rights to such a broad name. Even though I only listed a handful of other pages that could benefit from a dab page, I'm sure (with such a common name) that there are plenty more out there waiting to be created/found to be included. Thanks. After some consideration, I'm probably leaning toward just putting an Alumni Stadium (disambiguation) notice at the top of the existing page, since WP:PT seems to apply here. I've asked someone else for their opinion though, so I'll at least wait until that person chimes in to make any final decisions.

As for the FCS rankings in the new template, when I tried to put in the "TSNRank" and "FCSCoachRank" parameters into the 2009 W&M page, nothing showed up in the infobox when I clicked Preview. I've never edited (nor attempted to) any infobox templates because that stuff is over my head. If I really sat down and tried to learn the coding and the way it works I could, but honestly I'm much less concerned with that kind of stuff than I am with making and maintaining quality pages. I'm sorry I can't be of more help in this situation, though I will at least reply on the wikiproject college football to your section, asking people who know how to make this work, because honestly there really does need to be a certified way to distinguish BCS and FCS polls. Gene Nichol – the old athletic logo should remain, because there is a section about the logo's controversy that occurred during his tenure; Men's basketball and women's soccer – should be new logo; Wren Society – no logo is probably needed for this particular page; the fair use rationale should be removed from the old logo for The College of William & Mary main page since the new logo is now in its place. I created the in-season defunct bowl article Tobacco Bowl. I just thought you might be interested in it because it's most closely connected to Richmond Spiders football (more so than any other single team). I don't know if you care enough to do anything with it, such as include a paragraph in the lead section of Richmond Spiders football on the significance of it, but I at least thought you should be aware of its existence. Re: Capital Cup

Based on the article that you included as the reference, it sounds to me like all the two schools did was officially rename the trophy rather than the game. The story was about how the I-64 Trophy is now being replaced/renamed by the Capital Cup, not really how the game itself is changing. Oh, really? Well then I agree that the redirect should go from I-64 Bowl to Capital Cup. The way the article was written, the author made it sound like just the trophy's name was changed. Re: W&M colors

Spiders' final rankings

I know I gave you that Sports Network link a while back, but check this link out [1]. It has every final ranking ever (if they finished ranked), regardless of the poll being used. The color schemes for college football program templates should match those of that school's official colors. The layout of the template itself, however, is up to the discretion of the editor(s) as far as I can tell. My original W&M football navbox's design was copied/pasted from the Arkansas Razorbacks design. However, once I saw the Appalachian State layout, I knew I wanted to make it look like that, so again I did a copy/paste format. I agree that the red links on the Richmond navbox look kinda like the Richmond Red text, but I think (a) it's distinguishable enough for it to not make a difference, and (b) eventually those red links will become blue and the problem will cease to be an issue. I suppose you're right. The football navboxes probably look better without the specialized font colors for the inner text area. I've already removed the W&M green font and will remove the Richmond Red font from the UR template. And let's just say I've had a lot of spare time this holiday weekend to make some pages that I might not have had time to make otherwise. Plus, with no other particular goals or pages in mind, why not just start making Richmond football-related articles? (e.g. both Tangerine Bowls, early yearly results etc). That is the toughest loss to swallow, definitely. One point away from a first-ever National Championship appearance. It's hard to be a Villanova fan right now, especially since they handed us 2 of our only 3 losses all season, but I sure don't want to see APP. ST. or Montana get to boost their already over-inflated senses of superiority (they play in bad conferences, no wonder they're perpetually 10-2 or 11-0). Naming convention

You made some changes to the U of R Stadium's name. It was called City Stadium until 1983, when it finally became known as the University of Richmond Stadium. From 1929 through 1982 it was called City Stadium (source). I did not know that Richmond's colleges were united under the "University of Richmond" name in 1920, but I think that's irrelevant to the naming convention of the stadium. I'm trying to be historically accurate in the school names and stadiums used (as I did with W&M's seasons). What's your opinion on the stadium naming convention? I think that it should be City Stadium.

Also, the reason I didn't differentiate City Stadium (1929–1982) and University of Richmond Stadium (1983–2009) in the Spiders football navbox is because it's the same stadium just a different name (ergo, it's not a different stadium). FCS playoffs

What is this world coming to when W&M, Richmond and Delaware all don't qualify for the playoffs? Oy vey. By the way, what happened with Richmond this year? University of Richmond

Hey, I realized that perhaps instead of deletion, I should perhaps have edited and used the three institutions listed by US News. I just don't see the list as presented by the University itself as supporting the statement "greatest overlap," and frankly, I think that phrase in conjunction with the Ivys listed amounts to unsubstantiated boosterism. Are none of the 30 "unofficial" peer schools listed higher up on the list of overlapping applications? How do we know this? The presentation gives us no way of knowing. The second comma is the second of two bracketing commas. See the second bullet point at MOS:COMMA. For example, it would be incorrect to write, "She attended the University of California, Davis for three years," but correct to write, "She attended the University of California, Davis, for three years." That looks challenging. I'm writing here, because I'm not really sure what to suggest. Page protection maybe? But that's a lot of pages. Do they just not get the messages, and don't realize what they are doing, or is it pointy. Hard to see. Perhaps someone with more experience will have a good suggestion. Capital Cup question

I couldn't find any Game MVPs written about for the March 6, 2021 match-up. Nor could I find any sources which indicate this particular match-up would be an asterisk when it comes to the series history.

Both games are officially part of the Capital Cup series, as mentioned in this preview of the game: "This season, the Spiders open and close the regular season with The Capital Cup." The Richmond team is also seen posing with the trophy following the first meeting earlier this month. But you are correct that an MVP does not appear to have been named for that game. Doesn't NCAA.com suffice as a source? Their current standings page lists them at 19–8. NCAA Standings Also don't use the A-10 site for a source, they have VCU at 20–7.
