I have nominated Suman Chakraborty, an article you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Suman Chakraborty. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. Hey there Wiki,

Just following up on your comment on the AfD. Here is the sad and somewhat ironic fact about wikipedia. Wikipedia is more concerned with verifiability than with wether or not something is true. The guy you wrote about may be a notable mime in India, but unless it can be verified independently, then it doesn't matter. Similarly, your friend, who wrote a book would be violating wp:COI. By writing an article on himself/his book/a friend/a friends book you are violating that policy. Anyway, I hope this experience doesn't deter you from WP. I hope you stick around and learn a little about what makes the project run.---Balloonman PoppaBalloon 06:54, 5 September 2008 (UTC)Reply
