Proposed merger of School of electronics engineering edit

Department of any institution and University is not entailed for a separate page until there is some extra ordinary circumstances and must be supported by circumstantial references. I guess you belong to this department thats why promoting it with vested interest. Wikipedea is not place for any such activity. You have created this page so let other to reach at consensus whether page to be entitled for separate identity or should be merged with VIT University. Don't remove nomination without any consensus as it is created by yourself you will not act impartially. Alokprasad84 (talk) 19:14, 25 November 2011 (UTC)Reply

--Wikindinator (talk) 06:16, 26 November 2011 (UTC)I feel that there is definately a need to maintain a separate article for this program of VIT,as it basically is a separate school with a robust academic and especially research program, which requires genuine emphasis which is yet to be articulated. Hence it is evident that there has to be a separate page for the electronics engineering school to fulfill the missing lot of information just as other schools of VIT are articulated.Hope this clarifies your suspicion.thank for understanding.Reply

It does not matters what you feel. In wikipedia guidelines are more important so kindly read College and university article guidelinesbefore editing. Alokprasad84 (talk) 07:33, 26 November 2011 (UTC)Reply
Come on discussion page to discuss the issue. Alokprasad84 (talk) 07:42, 26 November 2011 (UTC)Reply

--Wikindinator (talk) 09:40, 26 November 2011 (UTC) it seems that you have not properly interpreted what has just been explained above,or you seem to have a personal issue with the article. It has been clearly been mentioned that there is some breakthrough research going on at the school involving some of the most respected academicians and scientists and needs further articulation, but this is being ignored and you have been pursuing for a merger without even discussing about it.This is really unethical.Reply

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed maintenance templates from VIT University school of electronics engineering. When removing maintenance templates, please be sure to either resolve the problem that the template refers to, or give a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, as your removal of this template has been reverted. Advice to all edit

As reviewing administrator, I looked at the articles above.

  1. We do not remove an article because it contains inappropriate information. We remove the inappropriate material, and watch the article. I shall deal with the Ryan School situation.
  2. We do not delete an article when a merge is sufficient. For the primary divisions of schools of a university, we often but not always have separate articles if there is sufficient information. For both of the two cases above, there may not yet be sufficient information , in which case the material should be merge and a redirect made. Discuss it on the talk page.
  3. We do not make an article when we would otherwise not do so , because there is in thefuture going to be information. We do so when there is reliably sourced information ready to be added.
  4. "some breakthrough research going on at the school involving some of the most respected academicians and scientists and needs further articulation" is not a reason for a separate article; it's a reason for mentioning the research in whatever article or section is already appropriate, when there are references providing substantial coverage from 3rd party independent published reliable sources, print or online, but not blogs or press releases, or material derived from press releases.
  5. We sign comments by placing 4 ~ marks like this ~~~~ at the end, not the beginning of our comments. Otherwise it's confusing who said what. DGG ( talk ) 16:23, 26 November 2011 (UTC)Reply

File permission problem with File:Tirumala dairy.png edit

Thanks for uploading File:Tirumala dairy.png. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Magog the Ogre (talk) 05:54, 7 January 2012 (UTC)Reply
