editHi Wikiartifex! I noticed that you recently marked an edit as minor at List of password managers that may not have been. "Minor edit" has a very specific definition on Wikipedia—it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typo corrections or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not a minor edit, even if it only concerns a single word. Thank you. tedder (talk) 17:04, 21 March 2024 (UTC)
Managing a conflict of interest
editHello, Wikiartifex. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page Passbolt, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for article subjects for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization, clients, or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{edit COI}} template)—don't forget to give details of reliable sources supporting your suggestions;
- disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest § How to disclose a COI);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam § External link spamming);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.
Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Broc (talk) 09:29, 10 April 2024 (UTC)
- Hi, I see that all your edits have been uniquely focused on Passbolt. If you have a conflict of interest (e.g.: are an employee of the organization), we ask editors to disclose it. Please let me know if I got a wrong impression. Broc (talk) 09:31, 10 April 2024 (UTC)
- Hello Broc,
- You are right, I have a conflict of interest.
- If I understand correctly I need to add this on the passbolt talk page:
The following Wikipedia contributor has declared a personal or professional connection to the subject of this draft. Relevant policies and guidelines may include conflict of interest, autobiography, and neutral point of view.
|
- And this in my user page:
This user has publicly declared that they have a conflict of interest regarding the Wikipedia article Passbolt. - Let me know if there's any other actions I should take to disclose the COI. Wikiartifex (talk) 15:08, 10 April 2024 (UTC)
- This is done correctly. I requested the page you created, Passbolt, to be moved to draftspace. New articles from users with a COI should go through the Articles for Creation process. You will have to submit the draft and an editor will review it, then move it to mainspace if it fulfills Wikipedia quality standards. Broc (talk) 08:11, 12 April 2024 (UTC)
- Understood, thanks for your help! Wikiartifex (talk) 12:39, 12 April 2024 (UTC)
- Please work on Draft:Passbolt (software), then submit it when you think it's ready for review. Broc (talk) 13:58, 12 April 2024 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Passbolt
editHello Wikiartifex,
I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Passbolt for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly indicate why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.
If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.
You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks!

- @Wikiartifex I've moved the article to Draft:Passbolt (software) instead of deleting it due to the conflict of interest disclosed above. If you would like to submit the article for review, please press the blue "Submit the draft for review!" button on that page (or click here). --Ahecht (TALK
