Barnstars edit

To earn a Barnstar you have to do, well, stuff. You can check the barnstar list to find out, but people won't always give you one. It usually takes some time. --Abce2 (talk) 21:08, 28 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

Oh, and just a tip, it is easier if userboxes go on your userpage.--Abce2 (talk) 21:09, 28 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

Just wondering... edit

Were did you find that add? I've been searching everywhere for those. --Abce2|Howdy! 20:55, 3 May 2009 (UTC) Never mind I found them. But I was talking about the one on the top of your page. --Abce2|Howdy! 20:58, 3 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

Fixed it. --Abce2|Howdy! 21:03, 3 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

And could please reply on my Talk Page, not my user page? --Abce2|Howdy! 22:10, 3 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

Random Tests edit

Your random tests categorized your talk page in all kinds of Categories, so I've commented them out. If you need to check back how it looked, you can always go to the old revision of the page. Hope you don't mind. Amalthea 12:51, 4 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

Declined speedy-A1 on Ari Puheloinen edit

Hi Wiz. Just wanted to let you know that I nixed the speedy you tagged on Ari Puheloinen. While the article is short, its subject is plainly identified. A1 speedies apply only in the case where the subject is not identified. If you still think this is worthy of deletion, you might want to pursue AfD. Leave a note below if you'd like to chat about this and I'll see it. Best regards, Jim Ward (talk·stalk) 22:49, 3 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

Okay, that's fine. Do as you deem appropriate. WikiWizard123 15:59, 4 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

Presidents of the Legislative Council of Jamaica edit

Hi WikiWizard 123!

You wrote that my article about the Presidents of the Legislative Council does not have references or sources. I have mentioned that the official website of the Parliament of Jamaica is my source.

Best regards, Mbakkel2 (talk) 02:12, 4 May 2009

Hi WikiWizarrd123! I have found s link that works. I have removed the unreferenced tag. Thank you very much! Mbakkel2 (talk), 11:58, 4 May 2009 (UTC)

Hope this helps edit

There is a button on the bar above that has a picture of from what I see, a piece of paper with an X on it. And for the signature, search how to fix your signature. Hope this helps! --Abce2 12:29, 4 May 2009 (UTC)

Cheers! That really helped! WikiWizarrd123 (talk) 15:17, 4 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

Your signature edit

Hi. I notice that your signature uses a template. Unfortunately, because this causes massive server load when you get lots of pages being transcluded into different places, this is not permitted by the signature guidelines. Instead you should use the content of the page in the signature field in your user preferences. If it won't all fit in there, it's because it's too long, and you should use something shorter. If you need any help, just ask. Best, – Toon(talk) 15:51, 4 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

I created my signature using a Step-by-step method from the page Wikipedia:How to fix your signature. Would you be able to tell me how to make a signature which is 'WikiWizarrd123' where the 'Wiki' links to my user page, the 'Wizarrd' to my talk page and the '123' to my contributions? WikiWizard123 15:55, 4 May 2009 (UTC)Reply
Just put the content of user:WikiWizarrd123/sig into the Raw Signature field in your preferences where you've put just now. Your current signature is too long though, so you will have to shorten it. You may want to have a look at User talk:Abce2#Your_signature where I did just that for Abce2. If you really want to duplicate his, you can take that code, and switch his name by yours. Amalthea 16:03, 4 May 2009 (UTC)Reply
And FWIW, you're right, WP:How to fix your signature was recently changed and recommended to transclude a signature from a subpage. However, that recommendation was in violation of policy, I'm afraid. Amalthea 16:07, 4 May 2009 (UTC)Reply
Oh, what the hell, I've changed your User:WikiWizarrd123/sig so that it's short enough. Please copy the code and paste it into the Raw Signature field in your preferences. Kind regards, Amalthea 16:14, 4 May 2009 (UTC)Reply
Okay thanks. I'm just modifying it now and then I will cut and paste it into my Raw Signature Field. WikiWizard123 16:19, 4 May 2009 (UTC)Reply
I copied it into my raw signature but now it's not working. Any ideas as to why? WikiWizard123 It comes up with the error message: 'Invalid raw signature. Check HTML tags.'
Can you try again, please? The parser is apparently pickier with signatures than with normal page wikitext. Amalthea 16:39, 4 May 2009 (UTC)Reply
This is the code I have in my preferences. Any idea what's wrong with it? '<font face=Verdana color=#36F>Wiki</font><font face=Arial color=#09A>Wizarrd</font><font face=Verdana color=#FA9>123</font> (talk) 17:06, 4 May 2009 (UTC)'
As I said, try again with the code from User:WikiWizarrd123/sig. It apparently is complaining about the missing quotes around the html attributes (fontname and color), which he normally has no problem with. Amalthea 21:06, 4 May 2009 (UTC)Reply
Have tried again at your request and it worked! Thanks for all your help. WikiWizard123 12:00, 5 May 2009 (UTC)Reply
Sure, anytime. Amalthea 12:20, 5 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

Mistake over speedy deletion of LivMayo123 edit

You recently left a message on my user talk about an article named 'LivMayo123' which I allegedly created. I would just like to clear up that this is in fact a mistake. I did not create the page; it was a user named 'Lool4ever'. I was actually the one who put the page up for speedy deletion. WikiWizard123 18:29, 7 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

I am sorry if a message went astray. That's something I endeavor to avoid. I see wehre i left my standard deletion notice on the creator's talk page. I don't see where I left a message on your talk in my contribs.
I do see in your page history where you added and then removed a copy and paste of messages to the creator of the page you mention.] This is interesting as the permanent link shows . Further discussion welcome. Dlohcierekim 18:54, 7 May 2009 (UTC)Reply
I think I have just realised the mistake I have made. I copied a certain part of that page on to my user talk, with the intention of doing something with it. I must have accidentally copied more than I intended and also copied the part that you had added. I only realised this when I checked my user talk page history. Apologies for an inconvenience caused or time wasted! WikiWizard123 20:17, 7 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

An editor has asked for a discussion to address the redirect World's Greatest Encyclopedia. Since you had some involvement with the World's Greatest Encylopedia redirect, you might want to participate in the redirect discussion (if you have not already done so). The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Proposed deletion of Greg Hearle edit

The article Greg Hearle has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

WP:MUSICBIO. This is an odd one. Being here for over a decade with zero substantial changes, it's likely this article will remain a permastub. There is no indication of notability and none of the 12 criteria are met without an extreme interpretation of each one.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
