Sorry I thought that "the silver rule" was a legitimate idea. I read about it in Steven Pinker's book "Enlightenment Now," found what looked like a good source, and attempted to make helpful edit to this page. Is something wrong with the concept of the Silver Rule or the source I used? Please let me know. I don't do a lot of editing, but I want to do it well. User: Widerquist I can't figure out how to sign this properly, but I'm the user named Widerquist.

OK so there's nothing wrong with "the silver rule." I just need to find a better source? Can you take this blot off my record? I just wanted to add some useful info. I thought it was a legitimate source. Thanks, Widerquist.

When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled "Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:

I noticed your recent edit to Killing of George Floyd does not have an edit summary. Please be sure to provide a summary of every edit you make, even if you write only the briefest of summaries. The summaries are very helpful to people browsing an article's history.
