Regarding my Huffington Post backlinks, I think anyone who visits an article about a celeb will probably be interested to know that they're currently blogging there. If they drop out, the phrasing will certainly need revising, but at the moment it's a pretty interesting experiment with lots of wellknown names. -robotwisdom

Hey!

Hey, what's up with stealing my name? Just kidding. User:Quagga used to be my old username, but I got tired of it, it now redirects to my current username. --Hottentot

Bokassa dynasty

edit

Did you see the explanation I put on the speedy template? I'm just not sure such a thing as a "Bokassa Dynasty" ever existed. Ergo, there wouldn't be anything to merge. Google Books comes up with one hit for "bokassa dynasty" with dynasty not capitalized. Not sure what kind of source the contributor might have had. Maybe a bit rash on my part to request speedying as I'm no expert on the subject? -Wiccan Quagga 12:30, 9 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

Hello, Wiccan Quagga. While I agree that it was a junk article with nothing to merge, I have a hard time justifying a speedy deletion following the criteria listed on Wikipedia:Criteria for speedy deletion. (A simpler rule of mine: if I have to think, it's not a speedy candidate.) I was also trying to avoid creating a redlink (on just one page, though). Furthermore, I hope to preserve an edit history that involves multiple genuine accounts. It looked like wikipedians over the past few months have made some good-faith edits trying to improve the article. A deletion will take away the "credit" these "authors" are due. (Some people really care about their edit counts...) I don't think you'll find my third reason on any Wikiguideline pages, but I believe it's the right thing to do. Anyway, it's now a redirect to Jean-Bédel Bokassa, with the edit history intact. And, one could argue that Jean-Bédel Bokassa indeed attempted to establish a "Bokassa Dynasty", he just failed. Okay ? --PFHLai 01:17, 10 May 2006 (UTC)Reply
Sounds good. I'm sure you did the right thing by redirecting. And thanks for leaving me a message on my talk page (it gets so lonely there sometimes that it's tempting just to stir up controversy on minor points to get attention). Happy editing. -Wiccan Quagga 01:50, 10 May 2006 (UTC)Reply
I'm glad that you approve of this. Thanks. ..... "Lonely" ? Haha.... If you really want to stir things up, try making quirky comments on an AfD or at the admin election page. You will get noticed.  . Happy editing for you, too. Take care. -- PFHLai 01:58, 10 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

License tagging for Image:Christopher Grubb.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Christopher Grubb.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. --OrphanBot 13:06, 11 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Cumulative process, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Henry Thornton (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
