Speedy deletion nomination of Lion Tombstones

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Lion Tombstones requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from http://www.iranicaonline.org/articles/lion-tombstones. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lion Tombs

Sorry about that. Wikipedia's duplication detector showed multiple copyvios, but actually comparing the pages side-by-side shows no evidence of a copyright violation in your last version. I've put the page back up. Yunshui  10:57, 31 August 2018 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I'm Zackmann08. Thank you for your recent contributions to Hossein Erfani. I noticed that when you added the image to the infobox, you added it as a thumbnail. In the future, please do not use thumbnails when adding images to an infobox (see WP:INFOBOXIMAGE). What does this mean? Well in the infobox, when you specify the image you wish to use, instead of doing it like this:

|image=[[File:SomeImage.jpg|thumb|Some image caption]]

Instead just supply the name of the image. So in this case you can simply do:

|image=SomeImage.jpg.

There will then be a separate parameter for the image caption such as |caption=Some image caption. Please note that this is a generic form message I am leaving on your page because you recently added a thumbnail to an infobox. The specific parameters for the image and caption may be different for the infobox you are using! Please consult the Template page for the infobox being used to see better documentation. Thanks! Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited List of common or similar words in English and Persian, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Inter and Kid. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 06:15, 5 April 2021 (UTC)Reply

This title seems wrong, and the subject? Ashkawt-i Qizqapan is the full name of the place right? So why did you shorten the name? Except there is no article for the place? You've miss represented the information from the article. You need to review your work. It either needs fixing or I propose to WP:TNT the article. Govvy (talk) 16:27, 31 August 2023 (UTC)Reply
Thank you and I will edit it in the future. The title of the article is not incorrect and the reason is that there are various spellings of the name of this place in English. I have tried as much as possible to include all possible spellings in English at the beginning of the article. The name of the place in Kurdish language is also quoted from authentic articles. Anyway, I have decided to review it and I hope to make the article better and more complete in the future. Hosein Soltandoost (talk) 17:12, 31 August 2023 (UTC)Reply
Please change the name of the article to Qyzqapan, which is a more common English spelling. Thank you again Hosein Soltandoost (talk) 23:08, 31 August 2023 (UTC)Reply
I did it myself and no need to change the name. Hosein Soltandoost (talk) 23:36, 31 August 2023 (UTC)Reply
