The Wikipedia tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and discussion pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~ (the software will replace them with your signature and the date). Again, welcome! Important Notice edit

This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.

You have shown interest in India, Pakistan, and Afghanistan. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.

To opt out of receiving messages like this one, place {{Ds/aware}} on your user talk page and specify in the template the topic areas that you would like to opt out of alerts about. For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

May 2022 edit

Hello, I'm Zinnober9. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Ruaidri mac Cathal Ua Conchobair, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Zinnober9 (talk) 17:02, 13 May 2022 (UTC)Reply

Please do not add or change content, as you did at Ashley Blue, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. ScottishFinnishRadish (talk) 16:16, 16 May 2022 (UTC)Reply

Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to add unsourced or poorly sourced content, as you did at Katie Morgan, you may be blocked from editing. ScottishFinnishRadish (talk) 16:17, 16 May 2022 (UTC)Reply

noted i apologize for that. WforWriter (talk) 16:39, 16 May 2022 (UTC)Reply

You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you add unsourced or poorly sourced material to Wikipedia, as you did at India Summer. ScottishFinnishRadish (talk) 16:18, 16 May 2022 (UTC)Reply

it will not repeat in the future, i will be extra careful while editing. Thanks for identifying my mistakes. WforWriter (talk) 16:43, 16 May 2022 (UTC)Reply
I suggest you steer clear of adding dates of birth until you have more experience identifying high quality reliable sources, and are more familiar with WP:BLP. ScottishFinnishRadish (talk) 16:45, 16 May 2022 (UTC)Reply
ok noted, i wont add DOB, until i gain more knowledge about that. WforWriter (talk) 16:47, 16 May 2022 (UTC)Reply

Wikipedia and copyright edit

Hello WforWriter! Your additions to Mommywood have been removed in whole or in part, as they appear to have added copyrighted content without evidence that the source material is in the public domain or has been released by its owner or legal agent under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. (To request such a release, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission.) While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from sources to avoid copyright and plagiarism issues.

  • You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
  • Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify the information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
  • We have strict guidelines on the usage of copyrighted images. Fair use images must meet all ten of the non-free content criteria in order to be used in articles, or they will be deleted. To be used on Wikipedia, all other images must be made available under a free and open copyright license that allows commercial and derivative reuse.
  • If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. Understand, though, that unlike many other sites, where a person can license their content for use there and retain non-free ownership, that is not possible at Wikipedia. Rather, the release of content must be irrevocable, to the world, into either the public domain (PD) or under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. Such a release must be done in a verifiable manner, so that the authority of the person purporting to release the copyright is evidenced. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
  • Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you must follow the copyright attribution steps described at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. See also Help:Translation#License requirements.

It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. — Diannaa (talk) 21:04, 13 May 2022 (UTC)Reply

thank you, i will keep this in future to avoid copyright. WforWriter (talk) 21:19, 13 May 2022 (UTC)Reply

Dates of birth edit

Please see WP:DOB. Dates of birth have to be widely covered in reliable sources to be included in WP:BLPs. ScottishFinnishRadish (talk) 16:23, 16 May 2022 (UTC)Reply

ok i am adding the source. Thanks for identifying WforWriter (talk) 16:26, 16 May 2022 (UTC)Reply
It needs to be widely covered, and the sources must be high quality. ScottishFinnishRadish (talk) 16:32, 16 May 2022 (UTC)Reply
Ok noted. Thanks again WforWriter (talk) 16:33, 16 May 2022 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Abbas Haider (businessman) edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Abbas Haider (businessman), requesting that it be deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which pages can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If the page meets any of these strictly-defined criteria, then it may soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Abbas Haider moved to draftspace edit

An article you recently created, Abbas Haider (businessman), is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Liz Read! Talk! 21:37, 15 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

There are multiple reliable references that I have attached within the articles. Three articles from Forbes and other independent sources. I don't know what articles should I attach to prove the credibility. This is my first article and after a careful understanding of the terms I published it. The subject is widely covered in all the sources. I don't think speedy deletion applied to it. WforWriter (talk) 21:42, 15 August 2022 (UTC)Reply
I understand. I moved the article to Draft space as an alternative to deletion. I recommend you continue to work on this article and submit it to Articles for Creaion for review. If the draft can receive approval from an AFC reviewer, it is much less likely to be tagged for deletion. If you choose to move it back to main space, it is likely to be tagged again and I don't know if the next admin who evaluates it will choose to delete it or move it again to Draft space. I really recommend you take advantage of the AFC reviewers for feedback. It can't hurt to have a second set of eyes reviewing article, especially editors who are experienced at evaluating new articles.
If you have questions about article creation or Wikipedia's policies on deletion, please bring them to the Teahouse. Thank you. Liz Read! Talk! 23:58, 15 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

Blocked as a sockpuppet edit

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for abusing multiple accounts as a sockpuppet of User:CharmenderDeol per the evidence presented at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/CharmenderDeol.
