June 2008 edit

Hello, I think you might have been editing earlier as 69.112.101.89 (talk). If so, I had left you a message, but wasn't sure you would have seen it after you logged in with your account. Here is the text:

Greetings, in a recent edit to Shashamane, you asked "Would it be possible to add a picture and page on our founder?" in the edit summary. If you are closely connected to a particular organization and/or its founder, it could lead to (or be perceived as) a conflict of interest (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest). I suspect this is why you asked, though, and let me say that I, for one, appreciate that you did ask in advance. The CoI guideline does not prohibit you from editing, though: just be mindful of Wikipedia's policies concerning neutrality and reliable sources. If you want to go ahead and create the article, please consider disclosing your relationship on the article's talk page. Thanks, -- Gyrofrog (talk) 14:40, 19 June 2008 (UTC)Reply
