Remington M1867

edit

I certainly enjoyed working on Remington M1867. While I've no particular interest in firearms, I'm happy to say that your article's content was interesting. I sought it out because of your desire for someone with a proficiency of the English language, and I was pleased to make it comfortable for native English speakers.

My own personal contribution to Wikipedia is fixed base operator, something I searched Wikipedia while writing ad copy, and did not find, so I searched other sources and tried my hand at the article. I'll look over your other articles and help out where I can. --Bastique 03:37, 5 Dec 2004 (UTC)

G'day mate

I figure I might as well help out with that first gun article you put on peer review. OK, here's what I'd like to know (as a non-gun expert)... why do you find that gun special? I'm trying to work out how to help you with the lead section and I reckon that if you can give me an answer to that then I can help you. - Ta bu shi da yu 16:05, 1 Jan 2005 (UTC)

Interesting :-) I've added another sentence to the Krag-Peterson. What do you think? - Ta bu shi da yu 03:25, 2 Jan 2005 (UTC)

I reckon that story should go to WP:FAC now :-) At the very least, its more competive there and you'll get LOTS of feedback on what needs to be expanded. Peer review solicits comments, but FA is brutal :-) For an editor like yourself though this shouldn't be a problem because I think you'll most likely run with the comments made and fixup the article! Let me know if do submit it to WP:FAC and I'll go vote! - Ta bu shi da yu 03:54, 5 Jan 2005 (UTC)

Looks good :-)

edit

Well, I've only given it a 5 second glance :-) I'll have a look tonight and get back to you! - Ta bu shi da yu 08:03, 27 Jan 2005 (UTC)

Wow! I think that's actually ready to be placed on FAC :-) Ta bu shi da yu 05:09, 28 Jan 2005 (UTC)
D'oh! I just noticed that half the references are in the talk page... all is not lost however. Could you convert these into Wikipedia:Footnotes? - Ta bu shi da yu 09:06, 30 Jan 2005 (UTC)

Sorry, Wegian, I hope I didn't edit conflict you—I'll stay out of there till you're done. I'm only smoothing a few dots here and there, anyway.--Bishonen | Talk 16:11, 30 Jan 2005 (UTC)

Hi Wegian: What is your user name on the Norsk wikipedia? That way, I will know who to ask to copy edit my next submission there (a much more demanding task than the few changes that I made to Kammerlader!). —Theo (Talk) 09:39, 26 July 2005 (UTC)Reply

I added nearly everything you suggested to add. I did find citicism from the UN about the adoption of Soviet-era symbols. Zscout370 (Sound Off) 21:47, 12 August 2005 (UTC)Reply

Sorry abt the user page

edit

Sorry for editing your user page. I saw a spelling error and since it was relatively minor, I thought I should go ahead correct it. I did it in good faith. (as long as nobody vandalises my page, I don't mind people editing my page). And your age.... I made you a little older that you are, no wonder you're a little upset with my edit. Ok, I'll use yr talk page next time. I'll review yr articles tomorrow. A quick glance reveals that the single paragraph sections should be expanded. (min 2 paras reqd. per section) =Nichalp «Talk»= 19:22, August 18, 2005 (UTC)

Krag-Petersson

edit

I actually can't say I know anything at all about Norwegian rifles (or firearms in general for that matter), I'm just crazy about spelling mistakes :) I looked over a few other pages on Norwegian rifles, ammunition, and similar topics for spelling mistakes and similar problems -- hope it is helpful. Cheers. Neilc 23:25, 28 August 2005 (UTC)Reply

Cerebellum FAC

edit

Mr. Warrior--The article cerebllum has gone to FAC. You made some kind comments during our peer-review. We've made a lot of changes, so we'd like your input over there if you wouldn't mind. Skål! :) Semiconscious (talk · home) 03:18, 30 August 2005 (UTC)Reply

Kammerlader

edit

No probs, Its not spam. :) Suggestions:

  1. Lead size should be doubled.
  2. There are many unknows in the rate of fire. Any reason?
  3. flintlock breechloaders what is this? plz define.
  4. speciall -- sp
  5. 18th May wikify
  6. Please use a non breaking space between a number and its unit. eg.77 mm (0.46 in)
  7. I believe Norway uses British English and metric units, why not make metric usage more prominent?
  8. When were the Kam'er phased out? That should end the =history= section
  9. Please do not being a new section with a left aligned image.
  10. You can also mention what material these guns were made of.
  11. ...the Lund conversion can... --> the Lund conversion can
  12. ...the Landmark conversion... ---> "
  13. reciver -- sp?

I can't think of anything else at this moment. Hope it was sufficient. =Nichalp «Talk»= 11:44, September 12, 2005 (UTC)

Arbitration for Freemasonry article

edit

In response to your question, yes, unsupported anti-Masonic statements that led to revert wars would definitely be relevant, as they show that there is a systematic problem that affects more than one article. MSJapan 02:44, 9 October 2005 (UTC)Reply

Excellent work on the Evidence page!

You seem to have kept straight what I couldn't quite wrap my head around. That statement is so concise and to the point, I almost want to not bother with anything else! However, I'm going to keep adding to my section after I get some clarification from ArbCom about how to link a few things properly. Thanks! MSJapan 16:59, 18 October 2005 (UTC)Reply

I really liked the evidence you presented on Lightbringer. Great job! --File:Ottawa flag.png Spinboy 03:12, 19 October 2005 (UTC)Reply

Lightbringer Arbitration case

edit

The Arbitration case against Lightbringer, Wikipedia:Requests for arbitration/Lightbringer, to which you contributed, has closed. The decision is that Lightbringer is hereby banned indefinitely from editing articles and talk-pages related to Freemasonry (the closeness of the relation is to be interpretted by any sysop as they see fit, regardless of the article's title), and is placed on personal attack parole for six months from now (to expire on the 24 of May 2006). If Lightbringer violates the Freemasonry ban, a sysop may ban them for up to a week, and after five such bans, for up to a year. If they violate the personal attack parole, a sysop may ban them for up to a week.

COMMENT ABOUT YOUR EXCELLENT ARTICLE ON THE KRAG

edit

I question, constructively, the velocity of the lighter Danish Krag Bullet loading being 2,700 feet per second; my gesstimate is it should be around 2,200-2,300 fps. for the slightly less than 200 grain bullet.
