Welcome!

Hello, Waverley73, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. Again, welcome!

I've nominated Webgm for deletion as it appears to fail the guideline for websites. The process takes five days, and the easiest thing to do is provide some evidence of notability. Drop by my talk page if you have any questions.

Thanks for taking the time to come to my page... I'm always afraid that people will see the "nominated for deletion" notice and never come back! Have you looked at the guideline for websites linked above? The bar is set pretty high, I remember some back-of-the-envelope calculations that we're only including like one tenth of one percent of all websites. Read the guideline and drop me a note about what you think.
Oh yeah! It's better to use the ~~~~ instead of typing your name, it will automatically expand to your username and time.

I've suggested userfy now at the AfD discussion. That would mean that the article would be moved out of article space (where the real encyclopedia lives) into user space. To make that a bit more clear, if I have a page titled "Project Fantasy Football" that would properly be an article about a fantasy football project since it doesn't have a prefix. If it were "Wikipedia:Project Fantasy Football" it would be a place where we could get together and talk about how to improve fantasy football articles in wikipedia, since it has the Wikipedia prefix. Anything that starts with the prefix "User" is in user space, and as long as it's something that's working for the good of the project it's safe from deletion. There are a few more complicated things related to it, but that's the gist.
If and when it's moved into your user space, I'm happy to help you try to get it up to a level that would be safe from deletion.

Oops. Admin mis-communication. I'm talking it over with the closing admin now. - brenneman{T}{L} 15:24, 15 February 2006 (UTC)Reply

Oi vey. You are correct, I've been terribly remiss. I can only pray forgiveness in that I've had not one but two conflagrations to attend two in the short time I've been an administrator. I appreciate your patience, and I've moved the 11:04, 7 February 2006 version to User:Waverley73/Webgm.
One of the hardest things to get used to here is the varaible timescales. Non-article space tends to move pretty quickly (that's policy discussions, deletion decisions, etc) while article space is often quite slow in comparison. It can take weeks to make any progress on an article and that not be unusual.
Thanks for keeping up the pressure on me, and I again am sorry that you had to do so.
