You asked about my (extremely limited) knowledge of Hungarian: I've been there, once (a week in 1995, in Budapest and elsewhere), and I play Hungarian music here. You're right; it's one of the more exotic languages here.

By the way, having been to a few places in the country, I decided if I were to retire somewhere, I'd like to do it in Tihany. That was my favorite spot of all the places we visited. Just a little estate there with a vineyard and wine cellar ... ==ILike2BeAnonymous 19:29, 1 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

I'm not absolutely certain wether this is the proper way to reply to Your message (my WikiPedia Talk page knowledge is a bit... limited), but here we go: Tihany is indeed a very nice place and a neat choice. The Abbey is beautiful as well and of course Lake Balaton is pretty cool, too (especially for tourists, since Lake Balaton-area is the most developped, well-equipped and clean of all the main touristic areas in the country). But I'm glad You liked Hungary.

Douglas Adams Continuum edit

I have added a "{{prod}}" template to the article Douglas Adams Continuum, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia, or, if you disagree with the notice, discuss the issues at its talk page. Removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, but the article may still be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached, or if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria. An article was created once before, and deleted once before. In the meantime, there have been 300 more forum members added, plenty of message postings, and a serious DROP in the site's Alexa ranking. It's less notable NOW than it was then, and I still don't think it merits its own article, under WP:NOT. Sorry. JohnDBuell 03:32, 7 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

Alexa (www.alexa.com) is one of several websites that monitors online traffic and activity. Nielsen does this too. Yahoo, MySpace and Google are the top three visited sites, by these rankings. It's not meant to be a sole method of measuring the use and traffic onto a website, but it can be used for that purpose in conjunction with other measures (like using AltaVista to count the number of links TO a website from other sites, as another gauge of notability). That said, taking into account what you and Gusty said on the DAC, I've merged some information into The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy as international phenomenon article, as an attempt at compromise. I think it fits in that article as a better response to online fan activity. I also turned Douglas Adams Continuum into a redirect into that section. Another user has already been adding further material. --JohnDBuell 18:47, 7 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Sárig es kit kígyó edit

The article Sárig es kit kígyó has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Tagged as unsourced for almost 3 years. No sources provided or found. No claim of significance established or even asserted. Fails WP:GNG

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. -- TRPoD aka The Red Pen of Doom 13:28, 17 April 2014 (UTC)Reply
