Belgian Navy edit

Please source changes you make, such as the one you did at Belgian NavyGaruda28 (talk) 15:57, 24 November 2017 (UTC)Reply

You can't source anything wich doesn't have a source, so the same aplies to the "marine component" which is incorrect.

The way it works is that if it is incorrect provide a source with the correct name. Garuda28 (talk) 19:48, 24 November 2017 (UTC)Reply

the only name sourced by the belgian navy itself is the belgian navy and i have read the naval component once, so joining the dutch name marinecomponent as marine component of the belgian armed forces makes zero sense. Waterstofgas (talk) 20:43, 24 November 2017 (UTC)Reply

Not only is Marine Component sourced, but it is also cited. They way this works is that all information is cited, weather it makes sense or not. Garuda28 (talk) 20:56, 24 November 2017 (UTC)Reply

The english use of Marine Component is sourced nor cited, so your argument is invalid, 21:00, 24 November 2017 (UTC)

See citation 3 from global security. It is cited and sourced. Garuda28 (talk) 21:03, 24 November 2017 (UTC)Reply

Dutch is a different language as English so it is an invalid source Waterstofgas (talk) 21:06, 24 November 2017 (UTC)Reply

The source is in EnglishGaruda28 (talk) 21:09, 24 November 2017 (UTC)Reply

the sourcetext itself is in english, however, it also says it names in french Composante Maritime and dutch Marine component so again a invalid source

the second name is in French, the third is an English translation. Either way a source is not invalidated just because it is not in English, and there are three supporting that name. Garuda28 (talk) 21:17, 24 November 2017 (UTC)Reply

navy=english Composante Miritime=French Marine Component=Dutch, and i am not against using the name however i am against using the name as being the english name, so if it was used as the dutch name it would be fine, however is is placed as marine Compenent{which is dutch} of the belgian armed Forces{English obviously} and that is plain wrong Waterstofgas (talk) 21:30, 24 November 2017 (UTC) Waterstofgas (talk) 21:30, 24 November 2017 (UTC)Reply

I must have missed the Dutch, saw it as component (seems that the official name is Maritime Component, both from global security and from NATO. I'll get that cited and changed in the next few days.)Garuda28 (talk) 21:39, 24 November 2017 (UTC)Reply
