Problems edit

Re: this, which is a repeat of this edit, the content you've submitted is unsourced, dubious (since the world's a big place and I'm sure there were some US teasers that were equally or far more attractive) and it's just so promotional in tone. We're not here to promote the film. And everything is a record if you set the goalposts close enough away. "Most viewed teaser in South India released on a Tuesday between 12pm and 2:25pm.

Re: this, which is a repeat of this edit, please stop submitting duplicate wikilinks. We don't need a wikilink to a person's article every time we mention them, and we already mentioned Vijay in the first lead paragraph, not to mention he's linked to in the infobox, and in the cast section. Wikilinks compete for reader attention. You're just cluttering up the article by adding needless duplicates. Same thing here where you needlessly add a duplicate link for A. R. Rahman. Note also that WP:OVERLINK represents community consensus about the matter, so please cut it out.

And generally speaking, when changes you've made are reverted, your remedy is to open a discussion on the article's talk page to seek consensus for inclusion. Resubmitting the problematic changes is considered disruptive, and such behavior can result in either the article being protected so you can't edit it, or your editing privileges being revoked. Username Kajan edit

Hi again, just so you know, when you signed your talk page post here on my talk page, you signed it under the username Kajan, which is obviously not your username. When you sign a post, you just need to use four tildes like this: ~~~~. If you messed around with your user preferences and changed your signature, you will need to change it back, since you can't pretend to be another user. The easiest way to do this is to go to Special:Preferences, and clear whatever formatting you have in the Signature field, then click Save at the bottom of the page. Thanks, Cyphoidbomb (talk) 02:11, 3 October 2017 (UTC)Reply

Mess edit

Not sure what you were intending to do, but in these three edits [1][2][3], (you can view the totality of the changes here,) you made an absolute mess of my talk page. You restored conversations that had been archived, you removed my responses to other discussions, and you signed another user's comments. You need to be very careful with your edits. I strongly urge you to use the Show Preview and Show Changes features before saving your changes to a page so you can see what the result of your changes will be. In this case if you had used Show changes, you would have seen that you were adding blocks of text to my talk page. I don't know if you're just mashing keys without any thought, but if you keep making edits like this, you're very surely going to wind up blocked to prevent damage to the encyclopedia. October 2017 edit

Please do not add or change content, as you did at Mersal (film), without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Diffs: [4] Data like this needs to be sourced. If someone comes by in 3 months and changes the date, how are we supposed to prove what the correct information is? Cyphoidbomb (talk) 14:23, 3 October 2017 (UTC)Reply

Re: this, references don't get pasted in the references section. If you edit the page, you can see that references are added at the end of each sentence, or after whatever statement is being made. The poster you added, by the way, doesn't say that the US release is 17 October. Unless I'm missing something, I just see a poster that says "Oct 17", and then there's a weird sticker that is vaguely reminiscent of the US flag. Is that what we're using to infer that the US release was 17 October? Cyphoidbomb (talk) 04:44, 4 October 2017 (UTC)Reply

DO NOT COPY edit

Re: this, do not copy content verbatim as you did from this source. Plagiarism and copyright violations will not be tolerated. Copying is intellectually lazy and dishonest. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 18:17, 18 February 2018 (UTC)Reply

March 2018 edit

Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Thalapathy 62, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear to be constructive and has been reverted. If you only meant to make a test edit, please use the sandbox for that. Thank you. Fylindfotberserk (talk) 15:30, 17 March 2018 (UTC)Reply

Apologies, I decided to remove the content that I removed because I said that a specific event was supposed to happen in 'early March', but that time has now passed, and the team of 'Thalapathy 62' are not 'heading to the US' in the time that was previously planned. This was why I decided to remove the sentence, and it was also added by myself in the first place. This is my reason for removing the sentence. If you do not agree, I understand and I will leave to you without forcing any further. Thank you. WarriorCK9499 (talk) 14:38, 18 March 2018 (UTC)Reply

"Bagged"? edit

Stop adding problematic content like this. "Bagged" is not proper tone for an encyclopedia and that phrasing is almost certainly just lifted from other articles you've read. Also, Wikipedia doesn't care about satellite rights sales. This was discussed at WT:ICTF. Search the discussion archives. We're not here to track every dollar the film made. Nobody cares that Avengers End Game will someday be shown on HBO or whatever and that money was exchanged for the privilege. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 14:42, 21 May 2019 (UTC)Reply

I am still in the process of learning how to use Wikipedia. Hence why I make mistakes at times. I apologise for that. 18:39, 21 May 2019 (UTC)

Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.

When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled "Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:

Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)

Please be sure to provide a summary of every edit you make, even if you write only the briefest of summaries. The summaries are very helpful to people browsing an article's history.

Edit summary content is visible in:

Please use the edit summary to explain your reasoning for the edit, or a summary of what the edit changes. You can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing →   Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary. Thanks! Begoon 13:33, 9 July 2019 (UTC)Reply

Disambiguation link notification for September 15 edit

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Bigil, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Sun TV (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
