Binomial Series edit

I would like to know the example I posted why it was removed for the Binomial Series page ?

Matyos1

Welcome to Wikipedia, Matyos1! The reason is explained at Talk:Binomial_series. Wikipedia is supposed to display the standard treatment of a topic, as evidenced by well-respected books on the subject. It is not supposed to be a showcase for new research. I had never before seen any textbook that discusses the "2-ray ground reflect model" in the context of the binomial series, and it seemed out of place to me, so I questioned this on the Talk page above and waited eight days to see if anyone would provide a reference. No one did, and no one objected to the removal, so after the eight days, I removed the link. If you can suggest a published book that discusses the "2-ray ground reflect model" in the context of the binomial series, then I would be happy to reinstate your link. Thank you for the reply WardenWalk ,I understand that this was research and not from a well respected book.

The reason for this was to show an example using Binomial Series to solve wireless propagation approximation problem in 2-Ray Ground reflection model which was asked for a solution to one of the problems in "Wireless Communications,Principles and Practice "book by Theodore S.Rappaport ISBN 0-13-375536-3,Chapter 3 .Problem 3.3

I solved this problem by using Binomial Series in the example I posted instead of Taylor Series Approximation ,which was stated in the book .It holds true and I welcome any corrections if errors or invalidity seen .This research was independently done by me and I welcome my work to be put into examination by me peers .

However I assure you the sole purpose of my posting is to contribute to the advancement of science by giving another way of visualizing approximating problems and I have no intention or desire to maliciously confound any well established science topics .

I am hoping that I hear from you again soon and wish you all the best .

I confirm that above talk was Matyos1 the IP 64.187.30.34 address was me . I apologize I was not logged on then talk) 12:18, 17 August 2009 (EDT)]]

Thank you, Matyos1, for the explanation. I am not doubting the correctness of your research, and I understand now that you had the best of intentions. My feeling is just that it is not appropriate for Wikipedia, at least not for the binomial series page.
