Hi @Nihonjoe:, can you please explain the reason for this block. I've gone through their contributions and could not find any edit that can be referred to as a spam. Unarguable they make mistake every newbie make but this block - without any warning or previous interaction is plain bad. My country is looking for editors and you're here blocking the few we have for flimsy reasons. I request an unblock ASAP. Regards, Mahveotm (talk) 10:05, 14 January 2018 (UTC)Reply
@Mahveotm: Their username is a play on Adewale Demehin, which seems to be the primary focus of their edits. Most of the edits are to promote this person. I'm fine if someone wants to unblock them if they promise to edit within the rules. They need to ask for the unblock, though. ···日本穣 · 投稿 · Talk to Nihonjoe · Join WP Japan! 07:04, 15 January 2018 (UTC)Reply
@ Nihonjoe, I express the same sentiments as Mahveotm. I do not know this editor until I came upon the article Adewale Demehin in Afd. How do you know he is the same person? Just because you think his username is a play on Adewale does not mean they are the same or he is acting on his behalf. Maybe he is a fan who just love his work. People should assume good faith and stop driving new editors away. All newbies make mistakes. Absolutely terrible! Senegambianamestudy (talk) 23:56, 17 January 2018 (UTC)Reply
