November 2012 edit

Hello, I'm DUCKISJAMMMY. I noticed that you made an edit to a biography of a living person, Scott Allan, but that you didn’t support your changes with a citation to a reliable source. Wikipedia has a strict policy concerning how we write about living people, so please help us keep such articles accurate. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. ★☆ DUCKISJAMMMY☆★ 15:33, 4 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

Scott Allan edit

Only talk page messages require signing using (~~~~). As for Scott Allan generally material isn't included in an article suggesting that the person has committed, or is accused of committing, a crime unless a conviction is secured. Although his article already includes another incident which he wasn't convicted of, it was included as he did go to court & it did include a number of his teams mates & was therefore deemed relevant. In this more recent situation with the pedestrian, the police said the driver of the car was not being investigated nor were charges expected to be laid so doesn't seem worth mentioning and is in violation of the WP:BLPCRIME not that you could have known as your new. If you need help with anything feel free to ask & I hope you stick around. Regards ★☆ DUCKISJAMMMY☆★ 21:29, 5 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

I've started a discussion at WP:FOOTY in regards to whether this recent incident with the pedestrian should or shouldn't be included in Scott Allan's article. I'm informing you as one of the users who added this passage, the discussion can be found here. ★☆ DUCKISJAMMMY☆★ 13:03, 6 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

Re: Signatures edit

No you don't add signatures to articles. You only add your signature when sending users like myself messages, a bot has had to sign on your behalf the last two times you sent me a message. I removed the signature from Odemwingie's article, hope you understand now. When expanding an article don't forget to add a source to verify what you wrote. See Citing sources, Reliable sources, Verifiability in the above welcome template which I changed to a more informative one. Per WP:DATESNO there is no need for th in dates, for example he scored on 7th November 2012 is against policy, he scored on 7 November 2012 will do fine. Lastly you should read edit a page where it'll explain edit summary & show preview. I know this may seem a bit daunting, but read the links in the welcome template & in awhile all will seem rather simple. Happy editing & if you have any further questions ask away. ★☆ DUCKISJAMMMY☆★ 09:55, 7 November 2012 (UTC)Reply
