Concern regarding User:Vraivermonter/sandbox

Time to revive the PreFab page?

I'm a friend of Xeth Feinberg of the PreFabs and was thinking they should have a Wikipedia article. A little (okay, quite a bit) research brought me here with questions. First, thanks for trying to create an article! What's your connection to the band? Did you give up on trying to create the article, or were you just unable to meet Wikipedia's requirements for acceptance? If it's the former, would you consider resuming your efforts? Hi RatJan, Thanks for getting in touch. I thought I had put together a pretty nice entry for the Prefabs, but I was told they weren't "musically notable" enough, based on the text/links provided. I was able to find more, and more recent, sources to link to, and I added those, but the Wikipedia reviewers still didn't think the entry satisfied the criteria. I've been too busy to make a third attempt over the last several months, but I might try again soon. Vraivermonter (talk) 16:59, 19 October 2022 (UTC)

Xeth told me Kris recruited you to create the article, which cleared up a lot of questions. Yeah, the "not notable enough" rejection was interesting. Lots of reviews, interviews, etc. are out there, but they're college radio and underground media sources, so not considered "major". Fortunately, the article got copied to Everybodywiki when Wikipedia flagged it for deletion, so all of your work hasn't been lost. RatJan (talk) 17:56, 19 October 2022 (UTC)
