Why did you redirect Rasa (aesthetic)) edit

Why did you redirect Rasa (aesthetic)? --Tito Dutta (Talk) 08:05, 5 August 2011 (UTC)Reply

Hi Tito. I don't know if this is the correct way to reply on wikipedia. The reason I redirected Rasa (aesthetic) is as follows:

  1. There was duplicate and conflicting information about the same topics elsewhere (eg: Aesthetics.), while some statements made about Rasa in Rasa (aesthetic) was simply incorrect. So, some consolidation was necessary.
  2. There are the closely related topics of Bhava and abhinaya. Discussion of these topics requires close reference to the concept of rasa. We currently don't have separate substantial information about these topics (though you would find that in Natyashastra).

It is for these reasons that I redirected Rasa to the new article Indian aesthetics. As more substantial information gets added about various individual concepts (as has been done to some extant for the case of shringara rasa), we can branch off new articles. vishvas_vasuki (talk) 15:46, 5 August 2011 (UTC)Reply

Okay! This is the correct way to reply. But generally people don't send email but add a note in talk page, if you see my talk page you'll see some similar alerts. (But, for me email is the best way to alert me). In addition you can use template like {{tb|Username}}, the result will be something like this-

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. Hi! Soon (June 12) all traffic to Wikimedia sites and API:s will need to go over https:// instead of http://. It seems your bot Sanskritnlpbot is still using http://.

There's more information. here. If you need help updating your bot, maybe that mailing list or w:en:Wikipedia:Bot owners' noticeboard might be good places. /Johan (WMF) (talk) 22:10, 29 May 2016 (UTC)Reply
