Hi there. I changed the alumni list that way because the featured article about alumni list on wikipedia showed it like that. Also it would be great if you could tell me how i could add citations which give links to books. Thanks.

Disambiguation link notification

Hi. In your recent article edits, you've added some links pointing to disambiguation pages. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Non-free rationale for File:Anthony Leocadia, Fletcher, ICS.jpg

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Anthony Leocadia, Fletcher, ICS.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 00:17, 23 December 2011 (UTC)

WP:OVERLINK

Please read WP:OVERLINK. I did not put that on the edit summary for fun, it was there to explain the reason for the edit, namely that Punjab was linked three times, and should not be linked more than once. --Muhandes (talk) 22:12, 31 December 2011 (UTC)

List of Campus School CCS HAU, Hisar Alumni

I think this is a bad idea. The entire list is four people. What do we need to split a separate article for? When it becomes 20-30 people, that's the time to split. You will not be able to add people without demonstration of notability (i.e. with no articles) anyway, per WP:LISTPEOPLE. --Muhandes (talk) 22:20, 31 December 2011 (UTC)

Can i create a new list when i have more than ten articles on Campus School CCS HAU, Hisar Alumni?? Vishal14K 06:58, 1 January 2012 (UTC) User:Vishal14k
What would be the point of that? You can read this guideline about when a split is appropriate. Frankly, I really don't see why we will ever need a split with this one, and what the benefit to our readers is going to be. --Muhandes (talk) 16:11, 3 January 2012 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of OP Jindal Modern School

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on OP Jindal Modern School requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a clear copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. I created the article because nowhere on the website it was written that the data on website is copyrighted. But still i admit my mistake and i'm sorry for that. That was my first article and didn't new the guidelines. But atleast you should have given me some time to change the data. But you just deleted it within one day. Do you think one day is more than enough?? I started creating articles on Wikipedia because i thought you guys work so hard to provide us this information and i should also contribute. But the way this article has been deleted will not only force me to think twice before writing any other article on Wikipedia but also before editing any article on Wikipedia. Vishal14K 13:20, 11 January 2012 (UTC) User:Vishal14k
Hi Vishal14k. I'm sorry that you feel that way, but the fact is, there was nothing anyone could have done but delete the article. Wikipedia, like everyone else, is bound by law. As far as I understand it, Wikipedia's lawyers say that the only way to avoid being sued over copyright violation (and you can imagine this is a huge legal problem with the amount of material in question) is to have a very strict "delete on sight" policy for all copyrighted material. I hope you won't take it too personally. --Muhandes (talk) 07:27, 12 January 2012 (UTC)

A tag has been placed on List of Universities and Colleges in Hisar, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. Proposed deletion of List of schools in Hisar

The article List of schools in Hisar has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

List of external links directing visitors to sites outside Wikipedia.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Your addition to Campus School CCS HAU, Hisar has been removed, as it appears to have added copyrighted material to Wikipedia without permission from the copyright holder. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other websites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites or publications as a source of information, but not as a source of article content such as sentences or images. Seriously, do you really wish to be blocked? You seem like a well-meaning editor, but if you keep pasting material from websites there will be no choice but to block you. --Muhandes (talk) 11:14, 5 March 2012 (UTC)
But this time i haven't copied anything from the website. Only the data has been used. Also data in the column "The founder" isn't even there on the website. I wrote the article about the founder Anthony Leocadia Fletcher on wikipedia and i have used the same lines here. And furthermore i will soon provide citations outside of the official website for every sentence. And if you insist from now on i will remove all the links to the official website and provide citations from other sources only. Sorry for my mistake. Vishal14K 17:02, 5 March 2012 (UTC) Vishal14k
You haven't copied anything from the website? So the sentence "Campus School was put on the CBSE map when it got affiliated to it in July 1972 with school code No. 04035 and affiliation No. 530002" just happen to be both on this website and on this edit you made? How about the sentence "A school Advisory Committee under the Chairmanship of Shri A.L. Fletcher with Shri L. Ramachandran, the then Registrar, as its Member Secretary, was formed to frame the policy and guide the working of the school", another very unlucky coincidence?
As for the "founder" section, I removed it from a completely different reason. The article is about the school, not about the founder. If you want to add material about the founder, do so in his article. This is not a school website, it is an encyclopedic article. We don't add tangential material. --Muhandes (talk) 21:08, 5 March 2012 (UTC)
