For reverting my page back to default after the troll messed with it BigEast55 04:09, 31 January 2006 (UTC)Reply

•You're welcome. ^_^ --Viridian 23:05, 31 January 2006 (UTC)Reply
Thanks from me too, for the same thing -- looks like you're on a troll roll. Wow that was cheesy. Cheers, JDoorjam 04:43, 1 February 2006 (UTC)Reply

(Personal attack removed)

edit

This page was reverted to remove a blatant personal attack, and the user in question dealt with accordingly. // Pathoschild (admin / talk) 06:00, 22 February 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for taking care of it. I had just reverted the attack myself, but I guess you beat me to it. ^_^ Again, thanks! --Viridian 06:05, 22 February 2006 (UTC)Reply

In helping with [1]. I always find it hard to get an admin to step in the middle.

And once again, I forgot to sign. --69.145.122.209 02:59, 7 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

I'm glad I could be of assistance. And, if you need help again in the future with a persistant vandal who refuses to listen to repeated vandalism warnings, you can report them here, a vandalism update page that administrators continually monitor. --Viridian {Talk} 04:39, 7 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

User talk:61.69.241.187

you might want to block this fellow, considering your last warning on his talk page. i just reverted him vandalizing your user page. thanks, --B.U. Football For Life|Talk 05:52, 8 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

yeah, right after i posted that, i realized you might not be an admin. cheers --B.U. Football For Life|Talk 05:55, 8 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

Reverts

edit

Viridian, thanks for being diligent and reverting my User talk page after I'd blanked it myself - I'd forgotten to sign in before removing (yet again) some unwanted information an annoying person keeps putting on my User talk page. Ekklesiastic 01:39, 12 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

Merging

edit

how do you merge those minor pages to the big DeviantART page? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Cellophanex (talkcontribs)

  • By adding the {{mergeto|PAGENAME}} (in this case, {{mergeto|DeviantART}}), it lists the article as a candidate to be merged. At that point, the administrators and those who work on WikiProjects that deal with merges will take care of the rest, I believe. If you want to know more about the merging process, you could check out this reference page. --Viridian {Talk} 06:24, 12 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

Thank you! Can you delete pages? --Cellophanex

It does! Thank you so much, I'll be more careful with the pages I make next time :)

My RFA

edit
Thanks for participating in my RfA. It passed with a final tally of 98/13/10, just two short of making WP:100. If you need my help with anything, don't hesitate to ask.

Userpage vandalism

Thanks for reverting the vandalism on my userpage. Dis you spot it on Recent Changes, or do you have another method for spotting userpage vandalism? Cnwb 05:01, 14 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

Iron Man

edit

Hiya. Given your (admirable) anti-vandalism efforts, I wanted to report to you that some vandal may be taking revenge by having hijacked your Username. There was some vandalism (since reverted by an editor other than me) attributed to you at http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Iron_Man&curid=67055&diff=45080593&oldid=45071209

Thought you'd want to know. Keep up the great and vigilant work! -- Tenebrae 21:57, 23 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

  • Wait, I think I know what happened here. The good news is my account is safe and hasn't been compromised, the bad news is it's probably my fault the vandalism wasn't fixed correctly. This past week I've been having a problem with the "godmode-light" auto-revert script that I use to track and revert vandalism, and have been forced to either manually revert or use popups instead. Because popups only reverts the most recent change, if a vandal makes repeated changes to a page, popups will revert to the previous (but still vandalized) version in that case. This seems to be what occured in that case, and I was not careful enough to realize it. I have godmode-light fixed and working again, so it won't be a probelm in the future. ^_^ Sorry for the confusion and the trouble, though... --Viridian {Talk} 19:15, 26 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

Baptism of Jesus article

edit

Hi,

I've made some edits -- some shallow, some deeper -- to the Baptism of Jesus article to which you contributed. I'd like to get consensus on them.

Thanks, --jrcagle 02:30, 26 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

Thanks

Thanks for blanking my talk page</sarcasm>

--The Mad Bomber 06:55, 29 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

  • I believed the edit in question was vandalism, as it had been added by an anonymous user and contained a racial slur. I apoligize if you edited the talk page yourself, but given the evidence at the time, it appeared to be vandalism. --Viridian {Talk} 06:57, 29 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

Subst

edit

When using template tags on talk pages, don't forget to substitute with text by adding subst: to the template tag. For example, use {{subst:test}} instead of {{test}}. This reduces server load and prevents accidental blanking of the template. --Cyde Weys 01:34, 15 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

Thanks again

edit

For drawing attention to the difference is classification of music and film - the latter having no "film genres" category but only "films by genre". As you say, from a step higher, into "media", things look different again. There are still clear differences in the handling of contemporary music styles that need to be resolved, and I'd like to contact you again. Meanwhile, there are plenty of guitar amps, albums and bands to be thrown into their boxes. so I am getting on with that. Redheylin (talk) 05:13, 19 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open!

edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
