Speedy deletion nomination of Virginia Wright edit

PLEASE DON'T DELETE THIS PAGE. {{helpme}}

I am trying to comply. Please hang on while I attempt to edit the Virginia Wright page. Please don't delete it. Can anyone help me with a template. I see someone edited the Virginia Wright page. If anyone else can help write it, to steer me in the correct path, I'd appreciate the help. Wikipedia is very confusing for beginners. I found somewhere that I could use a template wizard, tried finding it again and couldn't.

Thank you for your help, Virginia Wright 05:12, 17 May 2010 (UTC)Virginia Wright

Hi there!

1. Don't panic - if deleted, it can be restored.

2. I've moved it to User:VirginiaWright/draft. You can work on it there at your leisure; it is not 'live'. If you fix it up, we can move it back.

Now the 'panic' is over, please get further help.

For more help, you can either;

  • Leave a message on my own talk page; OR
  • Use a {{helpme}} - please create a new section at the end of your own talk page, put {{helpme}}, and ask your question - remember to 'sign' your name by putting ~~~~ at the end; OR
  • Talk to us live, with this or this.

The last of those is particularly useful - please try it; pop in now and say hello.  Chzz  ►  05:19, 17 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

Looking at the article, I suggest the following course of action;
  • Please read WP:AUTO
  • Add inline citations to reliable, independent sources. "Association of Independent Authors" isn't really independent, LinkedIn isn't reliable, and neither is Amazon. We need things like newspaper articles, from publishers with a 'reputation for fact-checking and accuracy'. As to how to add them...
  • Make sure you only state facts that appear in reliable sources. So, do not put e.g. Virginia met her husband, David, while they both attended a summer festival in Belfast unless' there is an appropriate reliable source that says this information - if it was in a newspaper interview, for example. Otherwise, remove it.
  • Do not use the names of the children; there are privacy issues. See WP:NPF
Above all, please ask for help when you need it. Best,  Chzz  ►  06:07, 17 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

Your recent edits edit

  Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You may also click on the signature button   located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 15:32, 20 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

Archives edit

An important note:

Things on my talk page get archived quite quickly, because it is so busy.

Therefore, my replies to your questions are now in my talk page archives;

Please do not edit/reply in the archives though; for further questions, please just start a new section on my talk page. Cheers,  Chzz  ►  11:46, 26 May 2010 (UTC)Reply
