Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, please do not add promotional material to articles or other Wikipedia pages, as you did to Butterfly Lovers' Violin Concerto. Advertising and using Wikipedia as a "soapbox" are against Wikipedia policy and not permitted. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you.   Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, the username you have chosen (Violinconcerto) seems to imply that you are editing on behalf of a group, company or website.

There are two issues with this:

  1. It is possible that you have a conflict of interest. In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, you must exercise great caution when editing on topics related to your organization.
  2. Your account cannot represent a group of people. You may wish to create a new account with a username that represents only you. Alternatively, you may consider changing your username to avoid giving the impression that your personal account is being used for promotional purposes.

Regardless of whether you change your name or create a new account, you are not exempted from the guidelines concerning editing where you have a conflict of interest. For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. The article in question is Violin Concerto No. 2 (Bartók). Thank you. MikeWazowski (talk) 21:16, 12 July 2011 (UTC)Reply

Hi, I would just like to notify you that your name is appearing in a filter for conflict of interest quite often. Please make sure you are not advertising/promoting yourself or your organization.--EdwardZhao (talk) 14:42, 13 July 2011 (UTC)Reply

Hi, I took a look at your website. Though it is not inherently promotional, the fact that you are external linking it on Wikipedia is a possible conflict of interest concern. I would suggest that you incorporate relevant info into the article, and then use an inline citation to your website if needed. For more info, you can take a look at Wikipedia:External links. Thanks!--EdwardZhao (talk) 15:14, 13 July 2011 (UTC)Reply

This is your last warning; the next time you insert a spam link, as you did at Violin Concerto No. 2 (Bartók), you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Persistent spammers may have their websites blacklisted, preventing anyone from linking to them from all Wikimedia sites as well as potentially being penalized by search engines. You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for spamming or advertising. From your contributions, this seems to be your only purpose. If you would like to be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. Also, I'd like to note to anyone who might consider giving this editor another chance to edit Wikipedia in a non-promotional manner, that their username would need to be changed per WP:ORGNAME, as this username promotes their web site violinconcerto.de. -- Atama 18:42, 13 July 2011 (UTC)Reply
