November 2023 edit

Hello, I'm Soetermans. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Blues Saraceno, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. soetermans. ↑↑↓↓←→←→ B A TALK 17:07, 1 November 2023 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I'm following up on the message you sent me a few days earlier, and I need to clarify that you cannot remove an entire section of a wiki page that has more than just 1 person's work. It was not just me that added stuff to that section, more than 3 people provided work to it & it was done years before I made those edits, so it was a mistake you made. I will readd the section again, please avoid removing them again, you may be upsetting other's who have been on this platform & sacrificed their time to help others. You have been here since September this year. Have you taken the time to check out the guidelines? Me removing unsourced material is perfectly fine as far as Wikipedia is concerned. We need reliable sources. You might want to see arguments to avoid additionally. And please keep discussions in one place. soetermans. ↑↑↓↓←→←→ B A TALK 21:50, 4 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
That is asides the problem, it's not about me, you removed other people's work that was present on that page since 2019. I know this is a new account, but I do know that what I was doing was not against the guidelines being I have been on other pages & they did not find any violations. December 2023 edit

Hello, I'm Yoshi24517. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Eveleth-Gilbert High School, but you didn't provide a source. I’ve removed it for now, but if you’d like to include a citation to a reliable source and re-add it, please do so! If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Yoshi24517 (Chat) (Online) 21:25, 5 December 2023 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I need to clarify that I am a local resident of eveleth, minnesota & there is no available news sources or reliable source that has covered it recently. The school closed down over the summer after we consolidated the new school, I'm sorry if this is not able to provide any type of context or citation but I can assure you that I am aware of what is happening & that I live in eveleth. Viking Adoranicus (talk) 21:34, 5 December 2023 (UTC)Reply
That would make it no original research. We cannot rely on word of mouth, so you need reliable sources to back up your claim. FYI, I am NOT watching your page, so if you need me to respond to something, I suggest that you ping me somewhere.Yoshi24517 (Chat) (Online) 21:39, 5 December 2023 (UTC)Reply

Please do not add or significantly change content without citing verifiable and reliable sources, as you did with this edit to Eveleth-Gilbert High School. Before making any potentially controversial edits, it is recommended that you discuss them first on the article's talk page. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Yoshi24517 (Chat) (Online) 21:37, 5 December 2023 (UTC)Reply

Do you want me to send you a video of me going up there? Because I can & show you that it's not open anymore, understand that no one covers it anymore & that it has been closed down since summer. I don't know what I can tell you, other than having us needing to delete that topic. Viking Adoranicus (talk) 21:40, 5 December 2023 (UTC)Reply
I don't know how I can be more clear. We need reliable sources to prove that the school did close down. You yourself aren't enough, because anybody can just say things. If you can find a reliable source that proves and shows that the school closed down, that's perfect. Yoshi24517 (Chat) (Online) 21:43, 5 December 2023 (UTC)Reply
You have been clear to me, what I am trying to say is that I've been a resident of eveleth for over 15 years, I've gone to that school from kindergarten all the way up to graduation and I'm constantly aware of what goes on in town. But if wiki is asking me to provide citations to something that is well aware on the iron range, I'll go ahead & do that. Viking Adoranicus (talk) 21:49, 5 December 2023 (UTC)Reply
If you go find citations, that will do. Thank you for that. That resolves that issue. However I have found another issue. I'm seeing a bit of ownership of articles from you. For example, you write in this edit summary: do not remove or edit it without dm'ing me! - Viking Nobody owns an article, and you absolutely cannot tell somebody what and what not to edit. Wikipedia is made up of multiple people, and different people may have issues with edits at any point in time. Don't try to control who gets to revert and/or make edits. Thanks. Yoshi24517 (Chat) (Online) 21:54, 5 December 2023 (UTC)Reply
I added in citations that proves the school closed at the end of the 2022-2023 school year, it is available to see on the mesabi tribune. I apologize for the edit summary sounding commanding, there was no reason for me to do that. Viking Adoranicus (talk) 21:55, 5 December 2023 (UTC)Reply
I saw your citations (I don't know if you saw, I "thanked" you for your edit.) Thank you for the apology, just try to keep WP:NOR and WP:OWN in mind when editing. If you need help with figuring out what is a reliable source, this page can help. I consider this resolved. Have a great day, and happy editing! If you have any other questions, you can ask me on my user talk page. Yoshi24517 (Chat) (Online) 21:59, 5 December 2023 (UTC)Reply
