420chan edit

Thanks for contributing to the article 420chan. However, do not use unreliable sources such as blogs, your own website, websites and publications with a poor reputation for checking the facts or with no editorial oversight, expressing views that are widely acknowledged as extremist, that are promotional in nature, or that rely heavily on rumors and personal opinions, as one of Wikipedia's core policies is that contributions must be verifiable through reliable sources, preferably using inline citations. Thanks! P.S. If you need further help, you can look at Help:Contents/Editing Wikipedia, or ask at the Teahouse. Other wikis in particular are almost never to be used in citations on Wikipedia, unless they have a reliable source (such as a PDF of a book) uploaded to them and you are specifying {{{via}}} in e.g. {{Cite book}}. This includes Know Your Meme especially, but also Taimapedia. Psiĥedelisto (talkcontribs) 10:18, 24 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

hi Psiĥedelisto, taimapedia was 420chan's official wiki and was also created by kirtaner. i see no reason why one of 420chan's sister sites cannot be cited in 420chan's page. i accept that know your meme may not be an acceptable source - kirtaner knows one of the site's admins, so i (perhaps incorrectly) assumed the information listed would be true - but taimapedia has arguably the most extensive documentation on 420chan's history available online. 𝕧𝕖𝕣𝕟𝕪𝕖𝕕𝕤 / אפרים (talk) 15:32, 24 May 2020 (UTC)Reply
@Vernyeds: First, welcome to Wikipedia, by the way. Please read WP:PRIMARY and WP:SPS. I know that Taimapedia was run by 420chan themselves, but was it only edited by Kirtaner? We cannot use a wiki unless you can show the history log that Kirtaner wrote the text you're adding. Even then, I'd question why we need to do that when there's very little WP:PRIMARY allows us to use of his words anyway. What facts would you most like to add? The reason I felt compelled to do a wholesale revert is that you accused Kirtaner of a federal crime (in Canada), hacking Hal Turner's website, based on a WP:UGC source. If you can prove beyond doubt that Kirtaner wrote that he hacked the website on Taimapedia, we can add that back, but the proof must be very good. The Wikimedia LGBTQ+ User Group is holding online working days in May. As a member of WikiProject LGBT studies, editing on LGBTQ+ issues or if you identify as part of the LGBTQ+ community, come help us set goals, develop our organisation and structures, consider how to respond to issues faced by Queer editors, and plan for the next 12 months.

We will be meeting online for 3 half-days, 14–16 May at 1400–1730 UTC. While our working language is English, we are looking to accommodate users who would prefer to participate in other languages, including translation facilities.

More information, and registration details, at QW2021.--Wikimedia LGBT+ User Group 03:00, 27 April 2021 (UTC)
