I have e-mailed you a copy of your sandbox. Please put the directory on you own website. What Wikipedia probably does need is a simple list of African libraries, archives and museums (preferably restricting itself to institutions which already have articles here) plus a matching category. Please feel free to create it. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 21:05, 11 August 2011 (UTC)Reply

Did you actually read the words above? When I say "simple list", I mean something like list of museums in England - just a set of links. We do not need addresses, phone numbers, etc. Please confirm that you understand. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 09:33, 12 August 2011 (UTC)Reply

  • It's my first time using the system and I was unaware , thanks for the advice... much appreciated. — VernonN (talk · contribs) via e-mail

OK, you have made a bit of an attempt to improve the list, so I have moved it to User:VernonN/sandbox. But it is still a very long way from being an article. I have just discovered list of museums in South Africa. Please, please, confirm that you can see the difference between that list and what you keep submitting. Have you considered the following possibilities: wikilinks to the articles about each museum, proper formatting as a table and no shouting? Another serious objection is that when complete it will be ridiculously large. My advice now is: *1* improve list of museums in South Africa. Create list of libraries and archives in South Africa. For other countries: expand list of museums which is horribly short on info. for Africa and create list of libraries by country. *2* — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 19:37, 12 August 2011 (UTC)Reply

  • How do I change the link when the page is live? Hi I'm not too fimiliar with the editing sysytem, from my last edit, is that more or less of what the page should look like? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 146.141.1.110 (talk) 05:57, 15 August 2011 (UTC)Reply

"How do I change the link" - which link are you talking about. I am sorry but your list is still a very long way off being acceptable. Firstly have you read my advice between *1* and *2* above? Do you agree with it? But as to your list: do you intend to address the shouting? Eg. NATIONAL ARCHIVES OF SOUTH AFRICA should be changed to National Archives of South Africa. Far from creating wikilinks, you have actually removed them - please explain why you did this edit. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 18:50, 15 August 2011 (UTC)Reply

Keep your eye on Special:Contributions/Emijrp. He is creating stubs for some of the archives, etc. on your lists. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 18:27, 25 August 2011 (UTC)Reply

Hi. I'm working on creating articles for libraries, museums and archives around the world. Perhaps you are interested in my sandbox User:Emijrp/Libraries, archives and museums. Your list is useful, I will take a look. Regards. emijrp (talk) 10:28, 3 September 2011 (UTC)Reply
