Welcome edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. To find out more about how to make useful contributions, take a look at the welcome page. To stay in Wikipedia, an article has to be about something notable, that is, of general interest. Click on Notability for an explanation of what that means. Also, it must give independently verifiable sources. Articles that don't meet these requirements are likely to be deleted. Follow the links below to learn more:

Boyar gotras

A tag has been placed on Boyar gotras, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the page appears to have no meaningful content or history, and the text is unsalvageably incoherent.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag) and leave a note on the page's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself.

If the page you created was a test, please use the sandbox for any other experiments you would like to do. Feel free to leave a message on my talk page if you have any questions about this. JohnCD (talk) 11:48, 30 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Boyar gotras edit

You need to add some explanation to this article - if it remains as just a list, it is liable to be speedy-deleted for providing no context for the reader, that is to say he will not know what it is about. I have put an {{underconstruction}} tag on the page, which will protect it for a short time, a few days, so that you will have time to do that. Please note two other points:

  • You should not remove a speedy-deletion tag from your own page - what you have to do, if you want to challenge one, is add {{hangon}} underneath the speedy deletion tag and then (as you did) put your reasons on the talk page.
  • When you put a comment on a talk page (but not in an article), please end it with four tilde ~ characters, like this: ~~~~ which will automatically add your username and the time and date - like this: JohnCD (talk) 22:54, 31 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, one or more of the external links you added to the page Boyar (caste) do not comply with our guidelines for external links and have been removed. Wikipedia is not a collection of links; nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page before reinserting it. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia.

Your edit here was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove unwanted links and spam from Wikipedia. If you were trying to insert a good link, please accept my creator's apologies, but note that the external link you added or changed is on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia.
The external links I reverted were matching the following regex rule(s): rule: 'geocities\.com' (link(s): http://www.geocities.com/) . If the external link you inserted or changed was to a blog, forum, free web hosting service, or similar site, then please check the information on the external site thorougly. Note that such sites should probably not be linked to if they contain information that is in violation of the creators copyright (see Linking to copyrighted works), or they are not written by a recognised, reliable source. Linking to sites that you are involved with is also strongly discouraged (see conflict of interest).

Image copyright problem with File:Boya migration.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading File:Boya migration.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. Even if you created the image yourself, you still need to release it so Wikipedia can use it. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you made this image yourself, you can use copyright tags like {{PD-self}} (to release all rights), {{self|CC-by-sa-3.0|GFDL}} (to require that you be credited), or any tag here - just go to the image, click edit, and add one of those. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by STBotI. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 13:18, 11 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

Reply to message edit

Hi,

First, I request you not to erase or blank out the message left by an other person on any page. You seem to be used to blanking out pages.

You left the following message on my userpage:

"Hello,

I have refered lots of books from public library before giving input of boyar caste details. Also i want some help for text editing. because some more work is left. If you are so keen on boyar caste details or you have any info, then i need to talk to you just mail to centupro@gmail.com. i see more caste discriminations in wikipedia for past two years. so i might consider you among those if you you edit my text".

I see that the Boyar caste page lacks citations and references. Therefore I asked for the same. Moreover there were unverifiable statements made on the present day raju community and the malayala kshatriyas being realted to chandravanshis and boyars. I deleted them for lack of citations. If you have any citations, please provide them while writing the same. I am not inclined to be involved in caste discriminations. And I wud think it is a shame if Indians were to indulge in caste wars on open source pages like these read by many world-wide. Thanks.
