Talk:Kosovo edit

Velimir, it is generally not acceptable to delete posts from other users on talk pages unless they are personally insulting. It is not up to you solely to decide what is POV. That is why discussion pages are included in the first place. Perhaps the editor was unable to find refs to back up his points, but that does not mean other editors should not be aware of his views. The talk page exists to make sure that there is a reasonable discussion and consensus before changes are made to the article proper, and discussion cannot exist if some users take it upon themsleves to act as censors. You don't have to like it, but you do have to tolerate discussion on subjects which you may find disasteful and sensitive. Davu.leon 09:48, 30 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

If, however, someone is using the article talk pages as a chat room, to make long rants not directly relevant to the article in question, it is ok to give them a friendly warning, and ask an admin to take a look at the issue if the behaviour is repeated. And, finally, if un-refernced claims are included in the article itself, it is fine to make a note on the talk page that you intend to delete these claims after an appropriate period, and then to remove them. (I would suggest waiting at least a week.) Davu.leon 10:00, 30 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Trivial edit

It is really trivial. Information about Mila Jovovic's parents belongs in the Mila Jovovic article. If we are going to add all "trivia" related so barely to Serbia, the trivia section will be half the article! Wikipedia is not the place for everything and anything, it is an encyclopedia - not Jimbo's big bag of fun facts...:-) And if you're making your case on basis of other articles, let's see: Germany, France, Spain, United States, United Kingdom...where do you see a trivia section? --Methodius 22:49, 30 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

please note edit

please note the discussion on the biased name for war in croatia, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Croatian_War_of_Independence, which is proposed to be moved to its original title.

Kosovo: country debate edit

Hello. There's a discussion going on Talk:List of countries as to whether or not Kosovo should be included in that list. You have contributed to the Kosovo articles and I thought you might be interested. The articles List of countries and Annex to the list of countries (where the inclusion criteria reside) are both relevant. Cheers. DSuser 13:27, 28 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

It's a minor, minor point, but I'd fed up to back teeth of arguing the point that we use Kosovo instead of Kosovan or Kosovar in Wikipedia as NPOV: this discussion is about 'Kosovo Elections' as opposed to 'Kosovar elections' or 'Kosovan elections' Template talk:Serbian local elections and a vote at Talk:Kosovo#Kosovo:_terminology. Perhaps you have no interest, in which case sorry to bother you! DSuser 14:15, 31 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned non-free media (Image:52827.gif) edit

Thanks for uploading Image:52827.gif. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 08:42, 18 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

my map edit

I made that map for a joke lol. But i agree with you over the Republika Srpska wanting annexation to Serbia for compensation over Kosovo and this would increase stability. The problem with the Balkans is that all ethnic Croats, Serbs, Albanians, Bosnians, Greeks, Bulgarians ect all want a country for their ethnicity and they want everyone of their ethnicity to be in that country.

I dont think BiH will split in the near future, but a few years after NATO/ UN troops leave, i can imagine Republika Srpska fully breaking away.

I don't think the ethnic Albanians in Western Macedonia will break away, because in a few years Macedonia should be NATO/EU and they won't allow it (Once they sort out the name thing).

I don't think that Macedonia will annex other lands because Greece and Bulgaria are both EU/NATO so they wont allow it, also in Greek Macedonia they are highly anti FYROM, so it would never work. I think Macedonia might rename itself Upper/ North Macedonia, but only if Greece renames its region Lower/ South Macedonia.

Speedy deletion nomination of Serbian Arbitration Association edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Serbian Arbitration Association requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 15:22, 20 January 2014 (UTC)Reply

Multiple accounts edit

You created the Serbian Arbitration Association article under this user name, and then the article was subsequently edited by Велимир85 (talk · contribs) (simply the Cyrillic transliteration of your user name). I presume this account is also yours, created for editing on the Serbian Wikipedia. (Correct me if I'm wrong!) This appears to be a legitimate usage of multiple accounts, but, in keeping with Wikipedia recommendations regarding legitimate alternative accounts, a you should take the time to properly label the two accounts as belonging to the same user. ArbCom elections are now open! edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
