I edit a little bit, but mostly I snipe errant apostrophes wherever I find them.

Request reason:

The blocked range is 2001:470::/32. This whole block is allocated to Hurricane Electric (the company I work for). Hurricane Electric is a transit provider, data center and web host, and many portions of this (massive) address block are allocated to our customers and to users of various free services. It's not surprising that Wikipedia may have experienced some abuse from some addresses within that range, but blocking the entire /32 blocks everyone served by this company, while the abuse probably originated from a few users who could be blocked with much smaller ranges.

Decline reason:

Procedural decline. You aren't blocked, and the range block is being adapted. On an unrelated note, please review WP:PAID and make sure you comply with the disclosure requirements. Huon (talk) 19:12, 9 September 2017 (UTC)Reply

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

  • @Ajraddatz: What is the exact reason you blocked such a large and busy range? Vanjagenije (talk) 10:25, 9 September 2017 (UTC)Reply
@Vanjagenije: It was being abused cross-wiki by one particular LTA, but after review Vanyalosswen is right that the range was far too large. I've removed the block, and am finding a couple of smaller ranges to block instead. -- Ajraddatz (talk) 16:47, 9 September 2017 (UTC)Reply
