Hello,

Welcome to Wikipedia! I'm your campus ambassador Gabe and I enjoyed talking with you yesterday about Wikipedia. I've put a few notes and helpful links, particularly about how to find images here: Education Program talk:Boston College/History of the American West (2013 Q1). Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions about editing Wikipedia. I hope you enjoy this assignment and I look forward to seeing your contributions. Help us improve the Wikipedia Education Program

Hi Vanacoca! As a student editor on Wikipedia, you have a lot of valuable experience about what it's like to edit as a part of a classroom assignment. In order to help other students like you enjoy editing while contributing positively to Wikipedia, it's extremely helpful to hear from real student editors about their challenges, successes, and support needs. Please take a few minutes to answer these questions by clicking below. (Note that the responses are posted to a public wiki page.) Thanks!

Your article Prairie madness

edit

Hello, Vanacoca, and welcome to Wikipedia! I wanted to let you know that I just reviewed the "Did you know...?" listing for your article "Prairie madness" and I thought the article was excellent. You have a real skill for encyclopedic writing and I hope you will continue to edit Wikipedia as you have time. Wikipedia always needs people to write and improve articles, even if it is just to make minor improvements in articles you happen to read (that's called being a Wikignome). Warning: Wikipedia editing can be habit forming!

About your "Did you know" nomination, you can find it here: Template:Did you know nominations/Prairie madness. At some point a volunteer will move it from the "nominations" list to the Queue, from which it will be moved to the "Did you know...?" listings on the Wikipedia mainpage. There is a table at the Queue telling you when it will be on the mainpage - usually for a period of 8 hours - so that you will know when to look for it.

If you have any questions about this place, you can ask me - I'm just another volunteer here. --MelanieN (talk) 17:31, 15 April 2013 (UTC)Reply
