There are many ways you can contribute to Wikipedia. Here are a few ideas:
    Fight vandalism
Be a WikiFairy or a WikiGnome
    Help contribute to articles
    Perform maintenance tasks

Become a member of a project that interests you
    Help design new templates
Subscribe and contribute to The Signpost
Translate articles from Wikipedias in other languages

To get some practice editing you can use a sandbox. You can create your own personal sandbox for use any time. It's perfect for working on bigger projects. Then for easy access in the future, you can put {{My sandbox}} on your user page. By the way, seeing as you haven't created a user page yet, simply click here to start it.

Please remember to:

  • Always sign your posts on talk pages. You can do this either by clicking on the   button on the edit toolbar or by typing four tildes ~~~~ at the end of your post. This will automatically insert your signature, a link to your talk page, and a timestamp.
  • Leave descriptive edit summaries for your edits. Doing so helps other editors understand what changes you have made and why you made them.
The best way to learn about something is to experience it. Explore, learn, contribute, and don't forget to have some fun!

Sincerely, Jax 0677 (talk) 23:09, 9 August 2020 (UTC)   (Leave me a message)Reply

August 2020 edit

Hello, I'm Blablubbs. I noticed that in this edit to Samsung Galaxy, you removed content without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, the removed content has been restored. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. — Blablubbs (talkcontribs) 23:11, 28 August 2020 (UTC)Reply

Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did with this edit to Samsung Galaxy. Your edits appear to be vandalism and have been reverted or removed. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Repeated vandalism can result in the loss of editing privileges. Thank you. — Blablubbs (talkcontribs) 23:12, 28 August 2020 (UTC)Reply

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 31 hours for persistently making disruptive edits. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  HickoryOughtShirt?4 (talk) 23:12, 28 August 2020 (UTC)Reply

October 2020 edit

Hello. This is a message to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions did not appear constructive and has been reverted. Please take some time to familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines. You can find information about these at our welcome page which also provides further information about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. If you only meant to make test edits, please use your sandbox for that. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you may leave a message on my talk page. Thank you. Larry Hockett (Talk) 03:47, 1 October 2020 (UTC)Reply

Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to blank out or remove portions of page content, templates, or other materials from Wikipedia without adequate explanation, you may be blocked from editing. Larry Hockett (Talk) 03:59, 1 October 2020 (UTC)Reply

  Please stop your disruptive editing.

If you continue to disrupt Wikipedia, you may be blocked from editing. MrOllie (talk) 12:34, 1 October 2020 (UTC)Reply

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 1 week for edit warring and violating the three-revert rule, as you did at Samsung Galaxy. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions.
During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Red Phoenix talk 21:36, 1 October 2020 (UTC)Reply

Whether or not you believe you need to fix something, if you're reverted and keep reverting without stopping to discuss first, you're going to get blocked. WP:3RR is a rule for a reason. You can't just keep trying to force your version in when others disagree; you should take it to the article's talk page and discuss your changes, understand why others disagree, and gain consensus.
